Chicken corn chowder.....and cottage cheese of course!

cinnamongrrl 05-29-2013 04:17 PM

I seasoned some chicken (smoky blend, Cajun spices, garlic powder) and have it "marinating" in the fridge. Will be adding bbq sauce to it...then making corn on the cob for sure...and I THINK the brown/wild rice pilaf I made last time..that came out nummy in an impromptu way!

Daktari 05-29-2013 04:23 PM

We had a lovely 'chippy tea'. That means one of our number went to the fish and chip (take-out) shop for chips (proper ones not those thin 'fries'), Holland's pie, jumbo sausages, mushy peas and gravy. Yum!!

Trev 05-29-2013 06:09 PM

No clue but whatever it is, will be eaten at work

I must really be a misfit toy, cause I make my pasta salad different than EVERYONE else.

PaPa 05-29-2013 07:44 PM

I made fried chicken tonight...the breading was eggs, peppercorn ranch dressing, garlic, onion powder, hot sauce and then dipped into Italian seasoned breadcrumbs, salt and pepper and fried in peanut oil. I also fried potatoes with onions and sweet hot peppers from last year's garden. I also had some freshly cut off the cob corn with lotsa butter. For dessert I had a piece of homemade apple pie and snack tonight was homemade coconut cream pie. Yes. No cut on calories tonight, but I hadn't eaten all day. *Sighs.

cinnamongrrl 05-29-2013 07:50 PM

We had a change in dinner, since my car had issues and I had to go get Teddy at work...

we had: reubens and mac n cheese with spicy peppers...an easy fave of mine :)

stargazingboi 05-30-2013 02:23 PM

Chancie 05-30-2013 02:43 PM

We are having

roast chicken and baked potatoes. <-- boring

PinkieLee 05-30-2013 02:49 PM

No idea what time I/we will get home tonight, and honestly nothing sounds good. So I'm thinking either:

a peanut butter & jelly sandwich
a glass of milk

OR

tomato soup
and a grilled cheese sandwich

I butterflied the chicken, and

I used Montreal seasoning from a huge shaker that

Pete brought home for a surprise.
