It's been an interesting Christmas for sure. I've managed to give myself little pressies all day long, from setting up the perfect Christmas pressie arrangement around the tree (a thing for me), to playing Santa, to watching holiday shows, to opening the holiday cards from an exchange here in small groups all throughout the day, to having yummy 'I didn't have to cook it' food to having a nice, long talk with someone. It's definitely been a smile-worthy day.

Watching it snow in Baltimore this morning via Skype, and knowing neither of us has to work today. :)
Seeing the big inner child burst to the surface (Gaige is adorable when she gets excited about something), as she just leapt up from the bed and rushed to look out of the window, with brown eyes open really wide, when she thought she heard the anticipated delivery truck pulling up... Finding her new favorite Korean instant coffee on Amazon and making sure she will have some for awhile... |

My little girl eating a lollipop the waiter gave her after our girlie curry night out today. I tell her not to take it into the Ladies with us and she asks why.
Because there are germs in the toilet I say. Germans?...In the toilet?! she asks, little nose screwed up :-) Walking home looking at the moon she starts swirling around. I'm 'dancewalking' she explains. I love hanging around with kids they make so much more sense than adults in every single way... |

Staying in bed til nearly 9 this morning....we NEVER do that....
Going out for lunch together....the food wasnt great..but the company always more than makes up for it :) Getting all the stuff we need for Christmas NEXT year...as far as wrapping and such...... Bud the cat trying to play with his catnip toys while they were still in the bag from the store...lol So nice to have a lazy day with my daddy bear... <3 :moonstars: |

Also we outright laughed at how backwards a colleagues day went. He even dumped a file cabinet full of files on the floor with his desktop tower on top of it. We heard him yell weakly "Help". Haaahaaahaa!! He was even laughing in hindsight. EVERYTHING went wrong for him today. |
watching my big newfoundland enjoy the snow. At 10 years old, he likes to slumber indoors alot. However, ever since the snow hit, he has been asking to go outside to play! Every 15 minutes! He is making me crazy but it is so much fun to watch him in the snow!

Breakfast with my girls. The oldest is on college break and her little sister is so thrilled to spend time with her it is so cute.
We said grace together and held hands while doing so. I feel so blessed to be able to be with them and feel their amazing beautiful energy. No matter what comes my way, I have the love of these phenomenal young women who are strong, independent and ready to change the world. I love them so much. We were all very aware of the empty seat at the table where their Mom would normally be, but we included Mom in our prayers and enjoyed our time together in the spirit of love. |
i feel peace at last...ive had moments of true happiness & peacefulness since the holidays begun ...but after a long conversation ...a lot of soul searching & some meditation.....i think my energy has been replenished...i'm blessed & life is good....and better days/things are on the way
