Hmmmm how do I feel?

Mainly tired but doing okay.

Like warmed-over horse s*** - but much better than the last week.

Tired. Almost took the day off, but glad I didn't. I'd just have to face it tomorrow.

Even though I can't see it right now, I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have a weird pesky cough. Seems allergies?
My wellness visit is Thursday, so I will ask the doc then. :hamactor:

Accomplished and fortunate. I made it to work today for the first time in three weeks, and it was pretty easy to jump right back in. My kind coworkers had held things together for me, so I did not come back to a desk full of late projects. Plus, I was able to finish a lot of work today.

I got home tonight and picked up my mail and I got my monthly power bill, which made me smile when I saw that I still have credit on my account and that my power usage was very low (I use LED and green technology).

And... I gave out the swag bag gifts today and smiled when I was thanked for being thoughtful of my co-workers. The smiles that came over their faces was worth the smile I felt deep down in my heart.

The word around the medical community is the flu season coming up may be worse than the past years'. CDC gets its predictions from areas of the World that have already had their flu season. Rumors abound that it will be similar to the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. That's probably BS, but I got my inoculation a couple of weeks ago at my Infectious Disease doc's office, anyway. Heard the rumor about a bad year from the doc and his staff while we standing around chatting.

Fit As A Fiddle............

Frustrated and weary.

Sad, incredibly sad. I am weeping at my desk and trying to hide behind my monitors so no one will notice.

I made the mistake of looking at the pet shelter animals online. I miss my dog so much. I can't replace her, of course, but I can't help thinking it would be easier for me to get through this whole cancer episode if I had a dog. (Sorry, Diva Kitty, I love you but you're just not the same as a dog.)

So many of the animals look so sad. I can't save them all. So many of them are older pets - who could get rid of their older pet? Some people just don't deserve pets.

In a perfect world, every dog would have a home, and every home would have a dog.

I guess in order to get a dog, I'm going to have to go through the strain and heartbreak of visiting the shelter. And what if I don't bond with one on the first try? I'll have to go back. And that will break my heart, every time.

I have had a horrible allergy/sinus headache for 2 days now. I hope it goes away soon.
