We conducted wildlife counts on the kangaroo rat, the golden eagle and the intrusion of evasive fish. Reestablished the trout and large mouth bass at the local fishery. We were paid a stipend of $30 a week, lived in the university dorm, wore khaki shirts with jeans and boots all military and required hard hats. We also earned 6 hours of college credit.

Sorry for the long answer-thanks for asking.

Ks-

Outstanding!
That sounds very similar to the CCC and I was hoping that it was.

I hope that you had lots of fun and made wonderful memories.

Thank you for your civil service.

Awesome, thank you.

I worked in civil service during college. A different branch but it was a wonderful experience. I worked on behalf of endangered species. That worked out well for me because I spent the next 20 plus years of my career working on behalf of endangered species.

Lovely experiences.

I've always been curious about the language of gifts! Do you mean like diamonds, furs, and fancy cars? .....:|

Not Katz, but.....for me.....love notes in the lunch or under the pillow, a pair of earrings that made Him think of me, flowers from the garden, a handmade card, a dime store trinket or a ticket to a movie I really wanted to see. Gifts.....for me....aren't weighed in commercial value but for the thought and sentiment put into them. Small pebbles can create big ripples.

Smörgåsbords were the thing when I was growing up in Michigan and it's where my father wanted to go for any and all celebrations.

All-you-can-eat deals are popular in California, especially at the casinos. I dont' gamble and don't eat enough (at one time) to enjoy the casino nights with the girls, though I love to see a good entertainment show at the casino.

me too! i can only eat barely one serving... i never get my moneys worth and its totally not the dining experience i enjoy.

The gift I received tonight...he was having crab and shared some with me..already cracked open for me to enjoy!

The other day he brought home bubbles and glow Sticks for the Fourth of July.

It's the effort that's the best gift....for me.

my bodyworker femme hands

my hands... they are aged, knuckles bulging from arthritis, veins popping through my skin. They ache and they tire easy... They look like the hands of someone 20 years older than me.

These hands have touched so many people, touched their pain..touched their cancer, their ALS, their MS, their aching bones... their whatever.....and the aftermath of dis-ease..young and old... these hands have touched their feet, their heads, their hands... their bodies... they have held their hand while they crossed over....

and energy has funneled through them long before i knew there was an official name for it.

i feel pretty lucky about this.

I don't like jealous people at all. I have had many people jealous of me and I can't stand it, I truly don't care the reason why but please just stop, it's NOT a good look.

Dad was the most important person in my life. I loved my Daddy very much, and miss him. Wish he was still around to hang with.

I prefer odd numbers.... (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11,13, 21....)
And the place holder... -0- (zero).

The only even number I like is.... 2. :giggle:
