The window in my ground floor bedroom faces a dark alleyway which has long bothered me. This evening while I'm lying on the bed quietly reading my iPad, my neighbor (who has suggested several times that he would like to take me out "for a ride" sometime) is standing right outside calling my name. :l

He does odd things sometimes when he wants my attention - always annoying.
I don't think he means any harm, but what he did tonight really creeped me out.

Unfortunately, I don't know him well enough to feel in any way comfortable broaching this subject with him, but I think I'm just going to pull the air conditioning unit out and lock the window.

I mean, not that it matters; anyone with truly nefarious intent will just smash it and climb in anyway. And I don't think he means it that way; I just think some men don't get how goddamned vulnerable it sometimes feels to be a female-bodied person in this pervasive climate of misogyny and violence against women.

I am reflecting on the whirlwind that I have experienced in the last two days and desperately trying to wind down.

Laying in bed trying to go to sleep but my tummy says food.

Thinking about the day ahead. Wondering if I'm brave enough to face the Costco crowd. I drove into Costco's parking lot last week and it was a mad house so I didn't go in. I just turned around and drove back out. Maybe I'll just wait till next week to go.

I am posting here, eating a taco, and making green chili chicken soup. Also, working on the house it was a party house for 3 days so now I need to clean up. So many dirty dishes.....ugg.

Cleaning and catching up on chores as I have been away recovering.

Procrastinating studying for my mineralogy final tomorrow :D Though, I'll get to studying very soon... after I leave the forum.

Got up at 3:30a.m., went to the bathroom ... then went to the kitchen and fixed a large coke with lots of ice.

Though I was in bed, I have not been to sleep all night. No worries. I am certain we will get the word from our governor that we may leave work at noon. All I have to donis swing by the grocery store and pick up a 4 or 5 pound roast to cook Kevie and Jennifer. They get extra good eats on holidays. Plus Santa has some nice loot for their surprise presents. ;)

Listening to a version of Mary Did you Know that makes me melancholy. The holidays are as sad for me as they are happy. We light candles for the people we're missing, but it doesn't always help.

Just laying in bed on my phone thinking about family stuff as usual. I have sweet little boys to make Christmas breakfast for in the morning but my sleep schedule is messed up and it's so hard to sleep.

Right now I am riding in the backseat of my parents' car listening to my dad attempt to sing along to bluegrass Christmas music. :simplelaugh:

Just skyped my Daddy and now on my way to my Grandfather's house for Christmas with the family.

Wondering how many beers I'm gonna win today. I've got some six packs on today's games—one on the Clippers and another one on the Warriors. The Clippers' game is a no-brainer and it'll be fun to watch them beat up the fLakers (call me a hater and see if I care :)) but I'on't know about the Warriors' game. The Warriors are up against King James and his court in Cleveland—I might lose that one. Tsk. We'll see.

If I win I'll get two 6 packs of Pacifico with Mexican limes. If I lose I have give up two 6 packs of Dos Equis. I don't drink the beers, but I do like winning them and passing them out to my buddies :)

And, much like my unusually delightful personality, these beautiful hardwood floors will be sparkling by the end of this weekend. lol, just teasing. :)

Playing Words with Friends with my 8 year old nephew. When I was in Cincinnati he saw me playing it on my phone and I let him "help" me. He received a tablet for Christmas and the first thing he wanted to do was download it and play me.

It's nice to be able to have contact and play with him. Plus, I think I may be able to take him. ;)

My money is on the kid.
