Food - 5 good things
breakfast tomorrow morning, which will just happen to be: treat time - making a mocha coffee, heating a few croissants in the oven, and some triple creme brie
coming home and having the pulled pork all ready to eat and made in the crock pot potato and cheese pierogies with caramelized onions and served with sour cream chopped egg sandwiches (with finely diced onions) with some beefsteak tomatoes on the side, all properly seasoned with freshly cracked white pepper and salt (I used to ask for that as a kid in the country and take off and have that on my hike - always fond memories) BBQ chicken with coleslaw and potato salad, and a hunk of baguette accompanied by a glass of dry white wine |
1) Spicy meatless 'meat' balls and organic fire-roasted veggies. It's what I am having for dinner, right now, and it's soooooo good.
2) a brand new nail polish. It's a rose-gold sparkly color. I just had to buy it, cuz it's pretty. 3) The will to stay on task, because it's staying on task that gets the job done. I've accomplished some major goals this past week, by staying on task and remaining committed to deadlines that will empower me to earn a better salary. 4) Making a dream come to life. You know, the important dreams (goals) you have over the years. I'm making one dream come to life. Hopefully soon, I'll be engulfed in my latest dream come true. That's when the proverbial stars in the universe are in alignment, right? :balloon: 5) The bed you sleep on needs to be real good, which is why I invested in a good mattress last summer. That new mattress (it's made of memory foam and cradles your body and helps you to sleep better) was the best thing I've bought, in quite some time. I miss my bed when I'm not home, so when I return home, I know I'm gonna sleep like a baby on the mattress I gifted to myself last summer. Here's to memory foam mattresses. It was spendy, but such a good investment. :moonstars: |
1) Clean laundry
2) Completed financial aid appl. Hopefully, be back at school to finish my Science and Technology degree in Earth Science this term. 3) Thinking of my Dad, aunt and uncle, all engineers, they'd be a great support. 4) Still have my infected leg that the docs saved. 5) Still a clean, sober, smoke-free, leather commie bitch. 6) Last, but certainly not least...this is the year we kick Trump to the curb! |

My dental office just dropped by, so I think what they gave me is so uplifting and shows how caring they are toward me.
They gave me: 1) polished Red apples 2) fresh winter Pears (they're so beautiful) 3) Toilet paper (big, big rolls) 4) Jasmine Rice (a biggo commercial size bag) 5) and.... flowers. A beautiful bouquet of Tulips, probably from their garden by the office. :stillheart: https://cdn-image.realsimple.com/sit...?itok=38Yghf5q |

5 Good and Not So Good Things....
1. My Mind. I am thankful for the fact that I can still think for myself and make clear sound decisions based on logic, reason and intuition.
2. Water. 3. Food - Dried Goods. The fact that we are still able to get dried pasta, beans and rice is a blessing. Food prices have gone up and I wouldn't be surprised if they continue to. 4. Knowledge. Big changes are coming. Are you ready? 5. Clothes - Warm clothes. |
1. eggs...human and chicken
2. laughter 3. good sewage systems 4. beer...any kind as long as it doesn't have fruit in it 5. vaccines...the sooner the better. |
Eight chicks growing like crazy. We lost two right off the bat but the eight remaining are growing like weeds.
Dogs that love us unconditionally and have no understanding of a pandemic. Money enough to have a well packed larder. Seeing spring is coming which means less money spent on wood and oil and tillable soil for a garden to sustain us. A loving wife, um sexy wife, to go through this with. |

1. The stay at home order made me realize how many neighbors around here have dogs!
2. I thought the Mink were gone from our ravine, but alas! I saw one yesterday, yes I said Mink. 3. We will all rise from the ashes of this virus, this will be the beginning of the death throes of for-profit healthcare. Such idiotic nonsense to have your health insurance tied to your job. I can smell universal care around the corner. 4. When one is home 24 hours a day, the self reflection is cathartic. I find myself s l o w i n g down and making decisions in a more cerebral manner. 5. The local grocer finally had blueberry syrup, what took so long? or more..... Mother Earth is breathing better since the global shutdown. |

Trying to stop at just 5....
1. After much, much delay the little family-owned produce stand opened up this week. Love that place!
2. Sugar-baby watermelons are now in season (briefly) and they are the best tasting ever! 3. Little vases full of flowers picked from my yard. 4. Almond Blossom bubble bath. 5. The concept of grace. :praying: Katniss~~ during these trying times I enjoy this thread more than ever |
>>> Stormy weather that blows all the beautiful floral blooms off the trees and sends them swirling atop the parked cars or down the street.
>>> being able to send special art work to friends and family, to cheer them up during this challenging time. >>> Having time to rest and take good care of me. >>> Coming across sentimental items made by my sons, as I unpacked more of my household. It has been almost a year since I moved, but I'm still unpacking my house. >>> knowing that my fridge and the cupboards are filled with good food and that I have all that I need or could want to feel safe and warm at home. >>> making an impromptu lunch to share with those who can't get out to go shop for food or don't have the energy to cook a nice meal for themselves. Sharing is caring. I believe that with all my heart. *** I went more than five, just for Katniss. :balloon: |
1. My Pom, whose groomer is not grooming or grooving does not look like Alfalfa after I cut his hair. But he made me promise to make an appointment ASAP when allowed.
2. One of our favorite restaurants is now delivering and boy howdy! are we excited! They make the best Gorgonzola penne pasta. 3. There are 4 kits, 2 adult Vixens currently living under a building at a nearby park. With the park being closed, they ALL stand a better chance of thriving without so many humans to fuck it up. 4. With Greyhound racing shut down (rightfully so) in Florida, my neighbors now have 4! count them 4 rescued pooches. They are magnificent. 5. My wife is planting around 30 Lilac bulbs this morning, they will brighten up the front yard. or more.... Planning another trip to the Virgin Islands, we loved where we stayed so much, hopefully this time we won't be on lock down. |
5 or More Good Things....
1. Almond Milk - This new brand I recently discovered is just too good!!
2. Canadian Maple Syrup - The real stuff, you know the good stuff. ;) 3. My sweet little window sill garden - Made from kitchen scraps that is magically showing life. Not sure if I will transplant them to pots yet or not... I haven't decided yet. 4. Humans - Free thinkers and truth seekers that are not afraid to use their voice to speak up and share their truths to educate others on worldly events and issues. 5. Medical professionals that are risking their job security and safety by speaking up and sharing their truths to educate the world. Thank you!! 6. Essential workers! You're keeping the world going right now. Thank you and please stay safe!! 7. Butchfemmeplanet.com - Being able to log in, read posts and connect with others is a freedom that is not taken for granted especially now during this time.
