My husband, who has been sick with pneumonia for over a week, actually got some sleep last night and is feeling a little better this morning. We see his PCP this morning and hope she has good news for us.

Being comfortable... being peaceful...being at peace with decisions I've made...being confident...and after doing my morning chores and tending to all the critters, enjoying my little, quiet Haven.

This entire day has given me joy and a peaceful feeling of deep content and happiness.
I am in my element!! In my "zen" garden of favorite surroundings!! Wish I could share pictures of just how beautiful my day has been... NC sure does have some gorgeous places to relax, enjoy nature and meet great people. And I'm so proud of myself for parking the camper in JUST THE RIGHT SPOT on my first try!! |
Believe it or not, it's the mess of stuff and furniture in the middle of my daughter's room. She's getting ready to paint it this weekend, and I'm reminded that I own my house. Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine!

My two beautiful, witty, bright, feisty, wildly smart nieces made my day!! Over the last five years, they've blossomed into such amazing young women. I am beyond proud! My youngest niece is visiting a Florida college this week (much warmer state than where they're from)...I'm so happy for her that she's willing and ready to "break out of the box" of the little "ghost town" of our hometown that doesn't offer room for growth. It feels so damn good to reconnect with them again!! I am truly blessed! |
Seeing and hearing two of my dearest friends happy and proud of themselves. Although for different reasons, it was extremely rewarding to share in their happiness.
