Halfway through our hectic day a co-worker asks me if I want something from Tim Ho's. I got all excited and lit up, and then it hit my brain that she didn't really say DD. So, I dropped the face of excitement and said no thank you. She recognized the difference of my expressions in zero minus 2 seconds and said that I appear to have wanted something and suddenly changed my mind. I said yeh, I thought you said DD. She said that she could stop in there too since it's like right across the street from Tim Ho's.

I said..... in that case I would like a medium caramel coollata with whip cream!! Oh happy day!! :cheesy:

Receiving a picture of my Baby and a co-worker, with my handsome butch wearing the Ravens scrub top I got her for Christmas...and the added bonus of watching her work tonight, via Skype :)

Getting to enjoy some "Me" time & indulging in some friday night "self-care" . A hot bath, facial scrubs, lotion, nail polish, a drink, yummy wings and a movie.

A nice conversation with my daughter. She called to tell me she's officially a junior now in college ... finally!! After working full time and having two children, she's almost there. Did I tell I'm proud of her? You bet I did! C'mon bachelors degree.

I will fast forward all of the not so smiley moments. Getting on the road with the sun shining, a peaceful drive, taking in the beauty around me covered with a dusting of snow, walking in the crisp winter air, the best cup of coffee I have had in months, feeling accepted and welcomed by friendly people into a community that isn't my "own".

I swear I could have lived at that market! I think I have some work to do, to be able to set up myself.

I got myself some lunch, which I am now eating! I found a bunch of great finds at the thrift store too :)

Hearing the excitement on the other end when I made a job offer to a new hire. And, another day, the same excitement when I promoted someone to asst. manager. It's great when I see potential and even better when I help someone move in their career opportunities.

A share cd by that same special friend

I am so very lucky to have this person be a friend, I hope one day to break bread with her.

I just called and talked to my 1/2 sister.

Hadn't been in touch with my sister since the 80's, because, I was the queer one in the family, and not welcome in their lives.

It was a new beginning. Queer is a good thing.

My friend gave me reassurance about reaching out, and I did.

I just heard the voice of another dear someone far away, whose reassurance is always positive for so many.

______JUST the very idea of being loved so deeply - humbles me in a way I never have been before - and if she should ask - there would be no tomorrow.

I am not a smoker - I do however enjoy a nice cigar every now and again - with a nice glass of Woodford Reserve - (but) yesterday I got an early birthday present from my father.

He says he has been waiting for the (right) time to give to me - which was actually a few years ago - but he had misplaced and has been cleaning out every box and "keepsake" box for the last year looking for it - and I'm so glad that he did.

I am now the happy and proud receiver of my grandfathers old meerschaum pipe...I remember the smell of the fascinating aromas that used to waft from that pipe as a kid...he didn't smoke often - every now and again - on a quiet evening cold winter nights - or late summer nights on the porch - as he would sit and talk to me of all manner of things...

Surely - I am blessed in too many ways too count - for many different reasons...

I am happy to be keeper of this precious memory of him now...and that has made me smile (this morning).

I am in a great mood today, in general.

I woke up smiling, I had a fantastic sleep, the sun is shining, I had an awesome client today, I got most of the day off, I am feeling connected to my friends and their energy, this coffee is perfect and I get to relax to sort my thoughts today.

I plan on celebrating with a big breakfast or brunch out. There's a little diner that serves breakfast all day. You can get a giant plate of everything - eggs, two pieces of toast, bacon, sausage, home fries a cup of coffee and a glass of juice for 4.99!

If the snow hadn't have melted I would be trying to get to the slopes. I wonder if I can do that. I'll get there before the season is over. I might just want to laze and watch movies because I CAN.

I wish you were closer Merry! I'm in the mood for breakfast this morning...and our local establishment closed... :( Now I have to drive instead of walk...lol

That's so sad :( I hate seeing local places closed down. If I was closer, I would certainly venture with you to get breakfast. How about I enjoy brunch for you and you can enjoy that bbq for me? LOL I know it won't satisfy the cravings for either of us, but it's worth a try!

Lotsa stuff cause life is so good right now. I have a date later in the week with a certain, handsome butch. Actually it's more like a FWB kinda thing and that's perfectly alright with me at the moment. Not feeling the need to be attached just yet. Freedom is a beautiful thing!! :D

The President has twice reference LGBT rights in his inaugural speech

"Previous generations should give you hope. What young generations have done before should give you hope. Young folks who marched and mobilized and stood up and sat in, from Seneca Falls to Selma to Stonewall, didn't just do it for themselves. They did it for other people."

"Our journey is not complete until our gay brothers and sisters are treated like anyone else under the law – for if we are truly created equal, then surely the love we commit to one another must be equal as well."

Christmas presents from my family in Ohio finally showed up to my office today! I sat at my desk and gleefully opened presents like a kid.

The fact that I'm 30 years old and my mom still addresses presents as "From Santa."

Sharing small but personal details with friends. I guess that's what you could call it. Either way, it is beautiful communication and soul bonding! Thank you for giving me an insight into your stories. I look forward to the exchange of future adventures.
