“The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind.” William Blake |
"It may be when we no longer know what to do, we have come to our real work, and that when we no longer know which way to go, we have begun our real journey." - Wendell Berry |
"It has never been, and never will be easy work! But the road that is built in hope is more pleasant to the traveler than the road built in despair, even though they both lead to the same destination." - Marion Zimmer Bradley |
"I believe that life is a journey, often difficult and sometimes incredibly cruel, but we are well equipped for it if only we tap into our talents and gifts and allow them to blossom." - Les Brown |
Just like the many colours of roses, we may be of different nationalities, ethnicities, religions or race. But no matter what colour a rose may be, it is still a rose, and likewise we are all human beings first.

We do not stop exercising because we grow old - we grow old because we stop exercising.Dr. Kenneth Cooper, Cooper Institute |
The bicycle is just as good company as most husbands and, when it gets old and shabby, a woman can dispose of it and get a new one without shocking the entire community.

We do not succeed in changing things according to our desire,
but gradually our desire changes. The situation that we hoped to change because it was intolerable becomes unimportant. We have not managed to surmount the obstacle, as we were absolutely determined to do, but life has taken us around it, led us past it, and then if we turn around to gaze at the remote past, we can barely catch sight of it, so imperceptible has it become. Marcel Proust |
If only green stuff would grow in the garden as easily as it does in the refrigerator.

April showers...
The Rain
By Robert Creeley All night the sound had come back again, and again falls this quiet, persistent rain. What am I to myself that must be remembered, insisted upon so often? Is it that never the ease, even the hardness, of rain falling will have for me something other than this, something not so insistent— am I to be locked in this final uneasiness. Love, if you love me, lie next to me. Be for me, like rain, the getting out of the tiredness, the fatuousness, the semi- lust of intentional indifference. Be wet with a decent happiness. |
You will undoubtably find that the faster you run from fate, the quicker you will run into it.
