A gentle loving voice in my ear, aware I'm not awake, holding all conversation so I could just listen to her whilst waking up. Providing that need without knowing it.

Waking up feeling happy, daydreaming in spare time, having people on my mind who make me smile, giving fresh cuts to kind clients at work, catchy songs on the radio, an offer for free food, warm/dry clothes, a hot cup of tea and my project multi tasking.
I feel good about myself and I'm confident in my decisions. I haven't stopped smiling since I've embraced this freedom and I started to float along. |
Joking around with my best friend! I love her to pieces! It feels great to sit back for a bit and just laugh.

Pre-registering for surgery Wednesday.

An early Valentine's gift from Gaige. She sent this to the office today, so that I could have more accessible nature, when I am in the call center. I found it so soothing to look up at this today during difficult calls. It reminds me of her, and the many creeks and streams that I see when I am out hiking in Oregon. It is beautiful, and it really shows how well she knows me (I really love live plants, not flowers that die), and how thoughtful she is. Thank you very much my sweet Butch, I love you. :stillheart: |

I've been trying to put my money where my mouth is with regards to self-care and treating myself well. It's so easy to make excuses!
Today, I had to grab lunch while running errands. I considered McD's or Wendy's, but then decided "what the heck?" and went to my favorite deli and sandwich shop, that I'm always "too busy" to go to. I had the best hot corned beef sandwich with potato chips and a pickle, and even threw in a piece of carrot cake :). It was so pleasant, none of it sitting under heat lamps and wrapped in foil, in a nice dining room with a real fork. Best of all, from counter to food delivery at my table was no more than 15 minutes. All for the same or less cost than fast food. It was so worth it, and I felt so cared for, even if I was caring for myself :). |

Feeling mostly good energy for the day, herbal tea, thinking about floating and friends who have been on my mind, food I didn't have to cook and coming home to work on my projects while being curious about future conversations.

Tonight at work, I walked into see my very good femme friend sitting in the interpreting chair! I thought I was supposed to be working with another one who made discriminating gay remarks to me not knowing I was gay, and is just an overall pain in the ass!!! In the middle of class, the mean interpreter walked in 20 min late. There was a scheduling snafu, and after femme and mean terp talked, mean interpreter left! Yay! Femme interpreters rule! Lol...

Teddy surprised me with bowling! We have never done that on a date before...and neither of us had been in YEARS...and boy did it show! ;)
Ran into an old acquaintance there that was on my ex's softball team wayyy back in the day. She is now a manager there and doing very well... I asked after a few of her team mates that I remember fondly and found out she still speaks to them both! One had a baby boy that came to games with her and he is now in pre school and has the same face he did as a baby... :) Teddy won OODLES of tickets just as I was lamenting that I had won only 25 playing skee ball...we ended up with over 100 of them :) |
