My mom showing up at a my job to bring me a cute lil' present - a kissy face frog sitting on top of a light up heart for Valentine's Day.

But grrrrrrrr half hr ago. My Joon dog is diabetic. She is on a plenty strict diet. I came home from a massage to strewn garbage on my kitchen floor. She is a big dog and ten and never has she been in trouble but today she got in trouble. I was gonna make her stay out all day..big fur coat. It is raining tho and after three whistles she slunk in for a dryoff and not stopping for a drink at the waterbowl, she made it to her bed in the bedroom.

I checked the mail tonight, and there was a key in the box, to open the larger mail box, which means I have a package. I bent down to insert the key, and before I could even turn it, I smelled something deliciously familiar.
After removing the package, I couldn't even wait until I got back to the house, I sat there in my car, and ripped it open. Inside I found exactly what I thought I had smelled, and lots of it. There were 8 packages of a difficult (for me) to find, favorite brand, of rosemary and lavender incense. I think I remember mentioning them while Gaige and I were Skyping awhile back, I was lighting some not-so-favorite incense, and was going on about how I needed to get online and order some more. So, bottom line. Gaige made me smile (for like the millionth time), because she really listens. Even when I think I am jabbering on enough to bore the pants off of her, she really listens. :stillheart: |
Lots of smiles today. Playing hooky and eating mediocre New York style pizza. Buying baby clothes for the 4th time this week. Cat ears and bells. Hearing from every teacher at my daughter's conferences say that she is a wonderful student. Finding out that even though she used to struggle with reading she is reading at an 11th grade level. Seeing her raise a cocky eyebrow when her teacher read her testing results. Cooking fish tacos while the normal chef watched from hys seat on the countertop. My son eating fish with no faces, gagging, or protesting. Watching TV snuggled beside my love. Warm apple pie in bed. Soft breath on my skin.

My poodle was happily waiting for me to get up this morning...little pom pom tail awaggin'. My SUPPOSEDLY devoted Cricket was fast asleep in the other room!
They ran soo excitedly down the stairs and went out without a fuss :) |

I got the 3rd interview for a job that is 3 miles from my boy! We could stop this LDR nonsense in as little as a month, vs the 2 years we have been dreading. She might have actually giggled with glee when I told her, but don't tell her I told ya'll :)
