Jesse 02-09-2013 01:04 AM

--shaking my head sadly-- I keep telling you, Clay, that a bent up metal clothes hanger does not make a halo...I don't care how long you wear it on your head! Lol! :nyahnyah:

I am as pure as the driven snow. And a petite fragile flower. I certainly don't know why you equate my visit with mischief and frivolity.

StrongButch 02-09-2013 07:27 AM

Thinking of my buddy Clay with a halo of any kind on hys head makes me smile :p

Also my sissy MaggieBluIze did, but then again she always does :D

Random 02-09-2013 09:14 AM

What? I'm out of cotton summer night gowns and the supply at the thrift stores is drying up!!!

What made me smile today...

How the boys at the shelter accept that I am like a hardcore mom figure to them.
There's no sweet mushy talk from me but they are okay with that...
The ones who have been there longer giving the four newbies we got in this week advice on how they should behave around me...lol.

LOL I have them sooooo buffaloed :cheesy:

dixie 02-09-2013 05:23 PM

Every year it is tradition that my father gives me chocolate roses. This year, I can't have the chocolate. I kinda cracked up a little, because poor ol' dad was a bit stumped. A card alone would have made me happy, but instead there was a card with $160 in it that said "I have absolutely no clue what you like so here, go buy something pretty." Also, the inside of the card was a lovely sentiment that basically stated how great of a daughter I am despite my weirdness lol

He's a bit of a goof but I love him dearly LOL

starryeyes 02-09-2013 05:58 PM

Hanging out with my BFFF (best femme friend forever) tonight! Yay!

Boots13 02-09-2013 08:41 PM

I was able to assist one of our East Coast BFP members in locating a close family member interred in the State of Washington. It was a 6 week detective job consisting of information gathering, cold calls, records requests and essentially spamming every cemetary in Northwestern Washington consisting of the word Green, past or present (ie: Green Acres Cemetary, Greenwood Cemetary, Green...) . Even the new ones (Dignity, Acacia) used to be known as GreenVine Cemetary, etc.

The leads came slowly, but finally narrowed it down.

And yesterday, against some amazing odds, the family member was located in Seattle ! The headstone was under one name and the burial roster was under different name.

The smile is this:

I trained my K9 tracking dog on the roads running directly past the site for
years ! I mean less than 5' (yes, feet) away.

And I am still getting e-mails, offers, and suggestions from cemetary's around the state. And I suspect this will be happening for quite some time, considering how many of them I contacted requesting record checks and suggestions.

I still cant believe what a small world it is we live in...

MaggieBluIze 02-09-2013 09:03 PM

MarquisdeShey 02-09-2013 09:39 PM

what made me smile today...

...the presence of good people.

...being open minded.

...learning something new.

maryam 02-10-2013 12:43 AM

Finally watching Despicable Me all the way through. I've seen it all, but only in bits and pieces. I've never sat down and watched it all the way through. "The physical appearance of the pretty makes no difference."

WingsOnFire 02-10-2013 01:16 AM

Watching Riley kick her paws and twitch her whiskers in her sleep.. she is such a sweet dog...

GraffitiBoi 02-10-2013 01:40 AM

*She* made me smile.
I think Gold Stars are my new favorite... Dayum!!!

Angeltoes 02-10-2013 01:45 AM

I went to a night club tonight which was weird in itself, but the fact that so many baby butches in their 20's wanted to dance with me was fun. I would not date them, but still it was flattering...

:)

espressolover83 02-10-2013 01:52 AM

My partner and I don't always have every weekend to spend doing regular things couples do. However, this is one particular weekend that made me smile although ironically, I missed work this past week due to having the pink eye. It made up for quite a long 'weekend' as we got to spend every night together (I work nights) and I got to play wifey :) (which I rarely get to do)
