A weekend off! Even though I will likely get dragged back to work, it's nice to have
1. an actual weekend off 2. two beautiful days in a row 3. such lovely weather to enjoy Happiness!!! |

My whole evening has been fun; my dinner turned out awesome (I did not burn the BBQ ribs!); I had my favorite ice cream from a local country store; and I've had fun laughing with my best friend.

Scoring a whole flat of non-gmo, heirloom tomato plants by trading my wine bottle art.
Getting my baby tomato plants replanted in bigger cups and a Tomato Nursery built to protect them from heavy rain and cold nights, until they get stronger. 10 very happy, funny baby chickens. Spending my morning at a favorite fishing pond. Finding a young beaver family is alive and well. Having a great weekend. |

A dear friend that I used to work with back in the late 90's sent me a picture on FB of a building from my hometown that holds many fond memories...and he knew how much that small gesture means to me. It was like getting a warm hug from back home. He went out of his way to take that picture for me; he lives over an hour away. No wonder we've been close friends since the day we met. We have always respected each other and made sure the other knew how important they are.

Getting some finishing touches done in the craft room and bathroom makes me happy on the accomplishment front and getting some snuggly petting time with the :cat: makes for some personal joy.

Finally resolving the issue that I dealt with all day yesterday. I still maintain that the clown I was trying to deal with yesterday is a jackass, but at least I got to deal with someone else this morning and it didn't take us all day to get to the bottom of it.

Today I had the first citrus I've had since moving away from S. Cal in the late 90's that wasn't sour. It wasn't the same good thing as just walking out your back door to pick tree ripened, sweetened in the sun fruit but today these cutie halo things whatever they are were pretty darn good, good enough to bring back memories of happy times spent living in the Golden State.

I hooked up with a childhood friend. We lost contact in 1980. We had a 4 1/2 hr conversation, catching up. She is a year younger than me and we only got up to about age 30 or so. So we decided we'd finish our conversation in the mountains in a few weeks.
