Psycho kitty volunteering for lap time tonight. It was sweet and charming of her. It's very sweet to watch her figure out that her people want her around. In the "I'd like to beat the snot out of everyone who had her before" kind of way.

There's a 10 year old kitty who's been at the shelter that I volunteer at for over 100 days. He has some expensive health problems- hypothyroidism, and something with eyes- which is probably what kept him in the shelter longer than other the other cats. I just found out he got adopted, and went home yesterday. :)

The taxi ride to the station...
The driver asked if I was originally from Maine. Really? :D First thought: Why, do I sound like a Mainer these days? :rofl: After telling him no, I got a history lesson the remainder of the ride about what Bangor looked like back in the day...60s and 70s. Old Timers and live history lessons. Stuff ya just can't get out of the books. I learned Bangor was the largest logging city back in its prime and that the river (that is rather void of action these days) had 100s of boats docked most of the year. The only way I take in history and actually retain it. :) Now I want to research the city's layout back then. :D |
Work calling to say the hwys are closed and my run was cancelled due to ice and snow. YEAH !!!! I went back to bed . So wonderful to get to sleep in like that!!!!!

A dog in the elevator, coming home tonight. She's a small lab mix named Emma, ten years old, tawny colored with a white muzzle and really searching brown eyes.
Before she made me smile in the elevator by looking up at me hopefully, she made me smile by running down the sidewalk to our building with her own leash in her mouth, and sort of bucking and wriggling with joy. |
During all the chaos of the day I got a sweet supportive text from a very special person. This made my :heartbeat: feel good and put a :) on my face. |

Walking to parking lot after getting root canal finished at dentist today and putting my key into the wrong car..and owner of car (along with his friend) walk right up behind me and say "WTF are you DOING??!!" I realize the key is not working..I reply "I'm just a blind old ladi - just had a root canal at dentist (as I point to nearby dentists ofc) - and am a bit out of sorts..sorry." They laughed heartily as I went off to try and find my REAL car in the parking lot. You know, I was beginning to think my car was a lot hotter than I remembered cuz those rims were looking FINE..LOL Tires were kinda FAT too..Windows looked like a darker tint too..But apparently i was hazy..LOL
Yep..Found my car ...just the same ol' same ol'..factory stuff. hahahahaha --Ms. Practical |

I'm sure I made the neighbors smile, more than once today. First, went to get mail...windy day to be wearing a short dress. Then to realize my slip was a little too long today, had to roll it up. Second, came home and needed to bring the pile of mail that I left on the floorboard of the car. I first came into the house, making sure I leave the car unlocked, bring in my purse, shoes and iPad. Go back out to my car, but stopping to see what the kitty's are doing, and got to the car and realized its not unlocked. Seriously? I check the drivers side too. Go back into the house, push unlock button once again, see the lights on the car blink. Good to go. Again, looked at what the cat was playing with, not sure if it was a bug or what. Got to car, passenger side, click. What? Auto lockout? One more time..straight to the door and get the mail. I'm sure the neighbors where saying ...crazy lady keeps trying to get into her car.. |

my accross the hall neighbor....i was going down to take the garbage out and so was she so i grabbed the bag she had to help her out...sooo on way back upstairs she gave me a hug and said im bestest neighbor ever...shes sweet girl..

Its pouring rain outside today and when I opened the door for the delivery guy I saw a rabbit hiding under the tree by our gate. I have seen this bunny and one other romping around the house before but it looked so wet and cold today. When I showed him to my son, he insisted that it was hungry, so we got a carrot (and an umbrella) and he went out to feed the bunny.
