The temp hear is a sunny ,c-o-l-d 30* with the high to be 40*,the wind is blowing at something like 8 mph..wind chill about 20 burrrrrrr.

I use to work out in the weather for most of the time, so after a while the old body just can't take to much cold ,besides it really messes with my asthma.Between arthritis and asthma I would rather not do battle with either of them.As for the temps or snow,our local weather man comes up with all of that,I have seen him be big time wrong. |

Looking outside my window, because that's as close as I'm getting to it right now, there are major gusts with snow swirls everywhere. The plows have been through here once but it was done more as a lick and a promise than anything and I've got 2.5-3 foot snow banks that I'll be shoveling later today. At this very moment, I just realized that I didn't bring one of the work shovels inside like I meant to yesterday and now I have a foot and a half of snow blocking my door. Oh joy. |

Well, the weather service got this one right. Definite blizzard conditions out there this am. Cant tell how much snow is actually on the ground given all the blowing and drifting and funky excuses for plowing. Is 22, winds whipping up to 50 mph. Life has effectively been cancelled statewide for the day. Looks like these conditions will continue throughout the day. So, Im thinking it will be a B day - books, bonding, and baking. ;) |
It's icy cold here but I'm watching the blizzard on the east coast and hoping everyone stays warm and dry!

Temp is -2 right now, wind chill is -20. I'm actually thinking about calling in a personal day rather than wait for the bus in this frigid weather.

It's 5 degrees here with no wind. Really still and quiet outside. Maybe we got a foot of snow. The highways were closed until 8am - but still, I hope people are smart and stay off of them. It's COLD and the risk of ice is great.

7 inches of snow here and it has stopped, but the wind is up to 35 mph causing a lot of drifting. Not sure of the temp but the local weather stations are reporting about 0 with the wind chill factor. Brrrr Glad I am home today.

24 hrs ago .. we had warning of heavy snow fall with very low temperatures
Now 24 hrs later - freezing rain warnings. Current temperature 0˚, followed by sudden dip in temperature. We can do without another round of freezing rain. .. :sigh: .. here in the Ontario/Quebec Canada. |
