That feeling of making plans and being so excited about how things are going to be and then it turns out to be even better than you ever thought it would be.

A break in the biblical rains...

I took the opportunity to head out for a hike with the dogs. There was a rainbow along the way. I always say that this area apologizes for the bad weather.

For example: last night we had storms and rain, but the sunrise was pinkish gold...it illuminated the entire sky. Amazing. So that too brought me joy...

And all the rain made for many waterfalls along the drive. And the one I hike to (hickory nut falls) was roaring over the cliffside. We were completely alone out there. Rain threatened but held off til we were walking out.

Wonderful day...

Getting several, very important papers in the mail from insurance with a totally unexpected positive decision about "out of network approvals". I was so happy it was like hitting the lottery.

the love of my English shepard/maremma pup. She is a year old and just loves me so sweetly! I adore her!

Working out some of the complexities of the painting I've been working on.

Waking up to find that the ol ticker was still ticking was a damn good start to a joyful day. ;)

Old-school handwritten letters with beautifully-hued ink, fine stationary, and perfectly elegant wax seals.

I have a whole box of different sealing waxes, stamps, fountain pens, different papers, and fun adornments. Embarrassingly, I have a separate box just to hold all of my fountain pen inks. :blush:

It brought me joy all week.........
 

Watching elected lawmakers either facing their constituents or running and hiding like little bitches!

I'm thinking after the week they just endured, they'll be more than happy to get their asses back to Washington:giggle:

It was yesterday.

I was sitting in the sun waiting on the commuter van to pick me up and I was chatting with mom.

I looked up and there was my dear sweet friend of 20 years walking toward me smiling. I got off the phone and stood up to great my friend. She held out her arms and I slid into her arms. It felt like home. I felt all the stress leave my body and my heart fill with love.

There is something special about a dear old friend. We know each other completely, we respect each other, and we care about each other. There are too many happy and sad memories to talk about but the sight of her familure face brought me so much joy.

An hour and a half spent talking to my parents and just catching up and laughing :tea:

My morning walk on the beach. It is so peaceful, makes me feel so relaxed, at peace with the world, grateful and loved. It's such a blessing! Thank you Lord!
