Update on R because I've been too tired to think and write lately
She had her first chemo last week Day after was good, but she felt progressively worse after that Yesterday she couldn't tolerate the pain anymore and I was at work,so she called a friend to come get here She spent yesterday at the VA ER They gave her morphine, took x rays and sent her away with new pain meds Today she said she's feeling much better with the new meds Whatever the new med is, must be taken every 4 hours Her mouth has been sore, but no mouth sores inside it She has been eating 3 meals a day, which is a good thing To my dear friend SD, thank you for being there for her when she needed answers Keep the prayers from our prayer circle coming Me, saying my prayers for all and keeping faith and hope alive |

She says the pain meds help very little On a good note, the nodules on her thyroid are benign Keep the faith, hope and prayers coming |

Tonight I light a candle for the poor teenage mother that has just lost her infant child. I light it for her suffering. I light it for her situation that put her pregnant at 13. I light it for her unsupportive family structure that left her alone in the intensive care with her infant child. I light it for her sobs and cries, alone, as we fought to save her child.

How about a Miraculous update? :praying: It starts with a message from my Big Seester: :rose: A few of you were privileged to receive a text this evening from Wonder Woman... (seriously, and I hope none of you ever have to know this kind of experience and out of body endurance!)...she is officially on the rehab ward, but her vision is impaired on top of everything else, so it is difficult to see this stuff. Docs say it will come back (due to the machines, ie; ECMO), but unsure of time frame. For now, she is working hard to convince her small frame that it is mighty and she can get out of there by her birthday. **crosses fingers and toes, then decides to skip the toes until a pedicure happens** And THEN came one from mah Niece! :shocking: Hi everyone, thanks for the well wishes. I'm in rehab and on the computer here. Will try to update when there is something new to say. Right now it's focusing on strength and weight gain. Hoping to be out of here and in the hotel by my birthday. :awww: And then today...another FB from mah Niece: UPDATE; so doctors think I'm doing well enough to get out and stay in the hotel early! So as of right now it's looking like Friday. For Milana's sister Rozella and her hubby who are driving 8 hours to come and visit her in the sub-acute Nursing Home. I'm dropping R at the VA Hospital tomorrow before heading to work
She's getting her 2nd chemo session The 1st one took a toll on her, I'm guessing the 2nd will be worse She's having a hard time dealing with the pain it causes her So, please keep the prayers coming along with strength, hope and faith |
a friend i work with , has diabetes.. she has been through hell & back since November, being hospitalized numerous times, and then losing her toe.. she was told at the end of December she would probably lose her foot, and was so scared and sad through the holidays.. we just got word that she will actually be amputated from just below the knee now, =( please keep Debi in your thoughts & prayers, ♥ ---- as i am lighting a candle for Debi, it's also for all of you who need strength, support, light & positive energy sent your way.. xox |
