Ooooooh, I can't wait!!

Oh my, goddess knows what you'll find when you go scrounging in the very back of your paper bin. I found so much good stuff for this project! I'm officially pumped!

Matchboxes have so many mini canvases on them. They are small but they aint no joke, especially when personalizing for each individual! And I'm loving every minute of it. They give me time to reflect on how special each one of you is to me <3

I thought my matchboxes had come in the mail yesterday, and I was so excited! Oddly, it was instead a months-late Christmas present from someone I haven't seen in over a year.

Yay, for getting a present! :) But no matchboxes yet :(

My matchboxes still haven't come either, but I do have a few ideas of where to begin so I'm not super worried yet.

So, what are you all going to do with your actual matches? I don't really want to just put them in the kitchen junk drawer.

I throw most of mine away. I can't think of much use having hundreds of matches will do me. I feel kind of bad, but really--what's the point?

So, just so everyone knows I've just suffered a death in the family. I *WILL* finish the matchbox project but since I am grieving it will either be my best work or worst work lol. I'm not sure why I feel the need to "warn" everyone but I do. So there you have it.

If anyone wants to send their matches to me... I'll take em!! I could use em to make ... something! :koolaid:

Gemme sent me some boxes to get me started (thank you), then I got mine and they are very shallow in depth. Like half the size of Gemme's. I was like I just cannot work like this if I want to put things inside the boxes. Which I do. Which I do. I ordered more but with Gemme's boxes and a snow day today I should be ok.

I usually use real matchboxes and I think I will stick with them in the future!

Does anyone else get the evil urge to put glitter all over something when you're working on it for clay????

I know it wouldn't but I can't help but think of it every time.
