Not sure why but this made me laugh

The golden sunlight hitting the daffodils on the hill.
The emerald green grass.
Many birds cooing, warbling and singing.
Being awakened by the best puppy dog, on the planet, kisses and hugs.
Drinking coffee, outside, in Hanes and fruit of the loom.
The warm weather.

plans to go to the beach, after we finish chores and errands. knowing that most of the said chores and errands are going to be completed quickly.

Surprising my daughter on her birthday. Getting to spend the day with both daughters and both granddaughters.

Smiled after reading a post on another thread... It was a much needed smile..

4 Deer I named, were eating apples with me, at the deck.:)

I almost thought I was going to go all day w/o smiling.. Until I fnally got home and saw a post..... "I still look at the stars and think of you". She can make me smile, and cry from being loved at the same time. It's nice to be thought of, and even nicer to be loved. It's the best when they actually tell you.

So my ex sends me a text this morning, is in her new condo in Texas, and is decorating her new place. Before, her décor has always been brightly colourful, eclectic. I always joked with her that her closet and decorating style looks like a SKITTLES bag exploded-- colour and energy ALLLLLLLL over the place. Almost TOO vibrant. Friends always enjoyed coming over because there was always this colourful, welcoming energy but with a "warmth" about the place when our styles "collided"-- her kind of "over the top" style muted and conditioned by my softer use of colours and tones and combinations.

She sent the following:

Hey, so I need your gay side. I'm gonna send you a pic of my dining area and I need to know if I need black curtains (yuk!) or beige or what the hell! [Her stepmother] got me a really nice dining room set and I don't wanna fuck it up! Cuz left to my own devices it will be bright and colorful and... Not classy. The rest of the flat can look like Rainbow Brite barfed on it, but this part needs to look... Normal? Normaler? Normalesque?

I don't know what made me laugh harder: the fact that she calls my ability to decorate my "gay side"; that although I can be "lewd, crude, and sociably unacceptable", the way I decorate is classier; or that she perceives me as "normaler" than her. But either way, it gave me a good chuckle.

A Fun Nite Out With Friends....
 

As I stretch and prepare to head off to an appointment this morning, I smiled remembering last night:

Saw some friends I hadn't had a chance to see face to face in a few months and hold their new baby boy. And he's such a handsome little guy-- joked with them: "Okay, I totally see Nadine in this equation, but uh, Kody, how the hell did YOU have a part in making something this cute?" :D Was comforting to know that even as fussy as he gets in the early evenings, he was so calm in my arms. I love kids; I go 0 to "sap" in like 1.8 seconds.

Went to a Munch (lifestyle gathering in a public venue for general socializing) and saw some old friends and met some new ones. Laughed my ass off and was threatened about five times for putting "[nomedia="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nf670orHKcA"]I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts (Merv Griffin) - YouTube[/nomedia]" in someone's head-- she was stressed and told me she needed the laugh. The more "irritated" she got, the cuter it was, standing there all mock-pissed. I kissed her on the nose and was met with a peck on the lips which made ME laugh.

ALMOST died my hair "Blue Envy" last night, but the bleaching part takes a while. We're planning on Sunday, early afternoon instead.

Several phone calls and a few texts from a friend who I'd wished could have been there made me smile.

My daughter called me mommy today. lol She is 25. It was cute because I am not your average ' Mommy"

Day off work and smiling in anticipation of a lovely spa day! Hot stone massage, facial and mani/pedi gift certificate makes an awesome birthday gift!
Later in the evening dinner at a Persian restaurant with good friends followed by a flick. Lovely and decadent way to usher in the weekend! :cheer:

Since I am the only female at my worksite, the guys built me my own "girl" bathroom. It was finally completed yesterday while I was gone. So today, I come in, and they have a "grand opening" sign on the new bathroom's door, and balloons! Lol. They are so proud of it! :)

It's Friday!!

Much needed sleep. Can't believe I slept the day away and am ready to go to bed for the night. This cold sure wiped me out. Jeesh!
