Another freezing day and I decided to work at home!
I have some laundry and 2 bathrooms to clean and need to fix a pot of black bean chili since it's the perfect weather. Also going to work on beefing up an advertising package for a free-lance project in addition to multiple meetings for my steady. Suffice it to say, it's a day of messy braids and fuzzy socks with the addition of doggeh petting and audiobooks. |

Thought I would be going back into work after being off due to snow and road closings. My plans were to leave home an extra hour early. I was about to go when I got a phone call and was told to "stay put." I took for granted the roads were fine today without checking. Glad I heard the phone before I left.
Coming down off these mountains, some roads are quite steep and all are curvy two-lane blacktops, on black ice is not my idea of a good time. Ended up cooking about 12 lbs of meat on the grill outside. Hamburgers, country style boneless rib pork strips and chicken breasts for the pooches. They love to hear me yell out "chicken picnic." Heh Heh! |
Working on my sister's garage. Since she has moved, she put all her boxes into the garage, so today, we are going to sort them suckers out and get through as many as we can.

Survival Cat is looking haggard. She is so worn out exhausted from the demands of her brood, practically all she does now is feed and sleep. As long as she'll nurse I won't pull the kits but I've laid in supplies just in case. Yesterday I made a larger nursery space for them because they're quickly outgrowing the bathtub and I know it won't belong before they're scaling the wall, flinging themselves over to escape. However I didn't put much energy into it until I saw how well they'd do in the newly created space, and how accepting of it mom was going to be. Yesterday and so far today everything has went well, so later I'll put more energy into fortifying the castle, making it a much more interesting, kitty safe space to be. :)
