*i innately, and unconsciously, gravitate to the most expensive item in any store - jewelry store, auto parts store, men's shoe store...whatever. Always the most expensive. It's a gift.

*i have a compass in my brain, and can navigate without a map (or an app) in most circumstances.

*i can roll a rather impressive spliff with three king size rizlas. Or I could, back in the day, when I still smoked tobacco.

Screaming kids, stockers who block the isle and you can't squeeze by (do that when the store is closed numb nuts) I don't feel they treat their associates all that well.


GM 3 things you truly love and enjoy about autumn

I'm grateful Autumn is so beautiful because I always mourn the passing of summer and dread the start of winter at this time of year, the fact that it's so breathtakingly gorgeous is a salve.

*The incredible colours - the deep ruby red Japanese maple leaves, and the huge glowingly-gold ginko leaves, and all the colours - from vivid chartreuses to the chocolate browns and all the flaming, luminous oranges.

*the way that the bike path looks like a ticker tape parade, full of confetti, on a windy day.

*the chilly, dark, rainy weekend days of November when I feel totally justified in staying in my pajamas and reading a book all weekend.
