Not only getting grab bars in bathroom, but getting redecorated! Plus a few special things for the bedroom to tie it all together! I can't wait to see it all put together! Hopefully sometime this coming week! Fun stuff starts arriving by Amazon and from Etsy and at Lowe's tomorrow!

Yummmm Pho. How did it turn out?

I'm looking forward to a trip to Woodstock, NY. I'm leaving this afternoon to get together with my girl gang there. We're going to see some live music tonight and have a slumber party. One of my good friends is a drummer in the band we are seeing so we're going to pile on her.

Hopefully a short day at work today followed by lunch out with my work husband. He's leaving for vacation for a week and a half so he's buttering me up to tolerate his absence.

I'm hosting a game night at my house tomorrow evening. We're doing a "snacky" potluck dinner and playing board games/card games, etc. One of my good friends adopted a foster dog that I had a few months ago and she's going to bring him with her. I'm excited to host a party and I'm excited to smooch the doggo sweet boy!

FALL and Rain!

I have been slowly but steadily cleaning off the dining table with the ultimate goal of putting on a new tablecloth (and having a clean dining table). In addition to the daily accumulation of flatware, glasses, bread, snacks and sauces, I've found new homes for Lego projects (plural), wine, magazines, organized a large lazy Susan and a large snack bowl, and thrown out all manner of unwanted mail and miscellania. Now I'm down to the hard stuff: icky stuff that has to be scrubbed off the table and a crock of 5-year-old brandied fruit that has to be drained and put in double Ziplock bags to throw away, not to mention washing the giant crock and finding another place for it.

But the end is in sight! Soon I will have my beautiful new tablecloth spread out on my organized table! And, there will be room to sit at the table and eat! on plates! With glasses and everything at the same time!

My new foster dog comes tomorrow :) Her name is Valentina and I'm excited to have her here. I made her Pupsicles with frozen unsweetened yogurt and bananas.

Sending my nephew his summer camp care package. It involves Summer Camp Madlibs, a lollypop with ants in it. A package of edible roasted and seasoned bugs, two Band-Aids, candy that is supposed to taste like hot dogs, Jellybeans that are supposed to taste like pickles, and some random stickers of girls and boys in fashion of the 1800s. I know it's super weird. But he's super weird in all of the best ways and sending packages like this is one of our things.

Pupsicles with yogurt and bananas - what a great idea! I'm going to make some for Brittany. She deserves some spoiling too!

I hope she likes them! I'm using this toy and it comes with a mold to make frozen centers so you can do all kinds of combos. I expect a peanut butter yogurt banana in the near future :) My new friend looks like a lab/pit mix and is maybe 2 years old so I think she's going to need a lot of chewing activity.

Bèsame*- I do so love being an aunt. My kiddo is 26 and my elder nephew is 13 so it's been, in some ways, a second parenting opportunity. (without the 24/7 responsibilities)

We are having some really cold nights and my fire stove helps but I need central heat. 50F is not quite enough so I have to cover with my bear blanket which is quite heavy. Would not happen if I had a partner... ish! Heat next week says the apt laws for Canada.
