The leaves have been slowly sprouting over the past few weeks. Last night it stormed like crazy, and when the sun finally decided to come out this afternoon, I was amazed by the intensity of the green. It was almost like spring happened overnight. Of course, everything had been dusted in a layer of yellow pollen.
We’ll have our second full moon of the month this Saturday. A blue moon. :) |

Had a great day stompin' around in the rain all day with my bestie finding treasures at estate sales, several Restores and a favorite diner.
I scored a box full of never used tools for $75 (they had asked $90), a never used tool shed/garage for $200, a box of designer glass tile for cheap, two boxes of "Airstone" for $10 box (normally $60 box) and a few other treasures. The fun part was laughing and joking with my bestie so much it felt as good as a bunch of kids playing in mud puddles. |
I hired two local gentlemen to clear out a large, nasty briar patch, cut down some trees (roots and all), haul off a load of trash (two piles of pallets included), scrape and level the new gravel driveway and locate my water line. They'll be here Wednesday or Thursday. Then my house will be delivered next week!
Time to get solar panels ordered! |
The husband of one of my customers. He's a doll but looks like he'd rip your face off. He's got a lot of character in his face, with scars and expression lines and he's built like a linebacker. Seriously, he's easily around three feet across at the shoulders. HUUUUUGE guy and very fit.
First, he's incredibly sweet and very polite. Major points to start with but then he came into the office smelling divine today. DIVINE!!! The office smelled soooo good after he left. If it weren't inappropriate, I would have asked what cologne he used. That stuff deserves to be bought and spritzed on pillows. Seriously yummy. |
Sunshine, and listening to children run around outside playing in it. Tag - you're it!

Blue skies, sunshine, slow roasting a huge pork roast on my Weber, and my local crew are here working their butts off getting the site ready for my house and clearing spots for the two patios I'm gonna put in soon.
. I'm sooo excited! |

Nature's first green is gold....
My garden. It rained most of the day but then the sky cleared to a brilliant blue and the sun shone strong and pure. The leaves on the trees had the filtered light and looked like bright emeralds and that lovely gold-green glow shone over the yard. The leftover raindrops sparkled and it was if they had little diamonds hanging from the leaves. Best of all were the flowers. The azaleas (pink, purple and white) were a bit beaten-down but the shrub roses have masses of blooms. The little miniature roses are fat with ready-to-pop blooms. The hostas are up and silver-blue and all manner of greens and swirls of yellow. The violas (blues, purples and blue/yellow) and snapdragons (yellow) are at full power (they love cooler weather). The potted Japanese maples have their lacy burgundy leaves waving in the breeze and the dogwood tree is still a froth of white blossoms.
Best of all the lily-of-the-valley which took me four years to really establish are up and starting their bloom. All along the stone path leading to the backyard it just smells heavenly. I did pluck a few of the sweet little white bells and put them in a cobalt vase in my bedroom. Not only did my garden bring me joy, it brought me gratitude beyond measure. Katniss~~ |
Saving about $200 by switching my truck insurance to a new, local company and being treated with a great deal of respect and top notch customer service by everyone in their office.
Enjoying therapy time and luvs with my furbabies. |
I received my first personal mail today. It was really nice to have someone take the time to send it thru the mail.
When I changed my address, the post office offered a new service. They scan your mail and send you an email so you know what to expect. So, it was double joy! |
