Memories of a wonderful weekend and of how great it feels to be with people who accept you despite your flaws

The Smiles today are because I posted my last post on the discussion board for school. Classes officially end tomorrow. I also submitted my final project, picked up my paperwork at my internship site and signed paperwork in the charts that I wrote, and now the only thing left for school is to make a video for my classmates on the college's flipshare phone and mail that back and mail the internship paperwork to my professor. I cannot wait until I hold both the degree and certification in my hand for the first time. I just may get emotional since it was such a BIG journey with obstacles at every turn.

That is what made me smile today.

Oh and yesterday I smiled because I learned my niece is getting married on December 7th. She will be having the service in the church where my family was raised going...it is where her parents married. I am very glad the tradition is continuing.

Waking up on the GORGEOUS May's day and finding the weather a tad frosty with the dark grey clouds hanging low, looming in the sky. Makes my autumn-loving heart sing.

I got up and had a refreshing cup of herbal tea while enjoying the sounds of spring, it was sunny outside, txts on lunch break, a free sub from subway and a few really nice compliments on my outfit!

I feel really good today and I seem to be feeling floating energy really close to my own. I love it!! *Flutters off*

I had 2 cups of coffee at lunch instead of just one. Sweet!!!

Today is my youngest brother's birthday:
Back when he was just a little kid, I used to call him 'Mr. Big Stuff'
(and sing to him: who do you think you are??? ;) )
when he was monkeying around and making me chase after him -
trying to teach him how to pick up his toys and keep his room looking half way presentable.


It's strange how time flies by. It was only 'yesterday' that I was
13 years old (nearly 14) when he was born. Now he is 40 years old.
Still, there's nothing to do but.... smile , smile , smile :)

Shopping.....not because I need anything but because I want everything :blueheels:

Coming home to the pups, they were so happy to see me.
Then watching the grumpy old bastard get jealous because I was playing soccer with the puppy. He would interrupt for hugs and kisses.

Some very nice conversations with friends and family.

The thought of living somewhere, where it's colder longer with trees and more rain. Where they have pumpkin festivals and more outside events. None of this 100 degree weather and where they have more pagans.-- I dream.

Sitting across from the 2 people I love most in this world and just looking at them made me smile.

My own silly behavior...always check to make sure a light bulb is screwed in right before thinking it is broken

That it is a new day and anything is possible....

Watching the one furkid go out and stand "post" for the third day in a row over by the outdoor kitchen cabinets. She is convinced that there is Something in that cabinet (a critter) and she is going to sweet talk it out of there! Guy and I have both went completely through all the cabinets and found Nothing, but she is convinced, and she is patient... So I am hoping she finds it soon :)

In the meantime, it is so cute to watch her

My neice calling me from 6 flags because she wished I was with her. Aw. I love that ornery little kid. :)
