I've had joy since Friday. My neice had a baby girl on Friday. She keeps posting pictures, and she is such a beautiful newborn! I find myself lingering on those pictures.
I don't know what it is in my family's gene's, but, we have some beautiful girls! In fact, it seems, that's all we have are girls. It took 40 years to have 1 boy! There are 7 girls now. Hey, I'm the best aunt/great aunt around:) |

This issue with my back flips on and off, sideways too. This morning I got up totally pain-free, just like normal! I
I mean I am walking totally normal, no limp at all in my gait! First time in quite a while. Yes, I am happy and smiling big. :) It is so strange how things go with these lower discs. I have PT this afternoon. I am not going to let him work me as hard as he did last Friday. |
Good for you, Rock On. When I had sciatica flare ups, the pain was nearly continuous with extra sharp spikes here and there, so I valued every moment with little to no pain. Baby your back!
Today, it was the furlings. Their personalities are so different. Loki is a momma's boy and is waiting for me at the door when I get up and he nearly trips me 3-4 times between the bathroom and the kitchen. Gracie is respectful of personal space and will come up to me when I'm sitting in the bathroom or once I'm in the kitchen. She's not a crowder because she doesn't like to be crowded. Loki would be happy if he could be sewn onto me. No sense of personal space or privacy whatsoever. :blink: But I have to say that I have the most beautiful creatures. Gracie with her grey and white tuxedo fur and light green eyes and Loki with his buff raccoon rings and golden eyes. She's so dainty but vicious and he's very much the huge bull in the china shop but is so lovable. They are two sides to a very interesting coin. |
The coworkers are all in good moods today! Which is awesome since yesterday some of them had cases of the Monday grumpies. (I was not one of those cases)

Back to back phone calls for positions with amazing companies!
One is for a position making double the salary that I make now (literally, TWICE the money) but in the same industry and the other is good money in a completely different industry. I was really wanting to get out of the world of Big Data but fuck, doubling my salary does make is a LOT more attractive. The stress, however, is not something I look forward to having in my life for the rest of my working days. The other would be a super-stable, super comfortable giant system of companies with a very decent salary doing different work than I do now with much lower stress. It's about $30,000k a year less than the other company but they have amazing bennies. Lots to think about. :hangloose: |
Knowing in 2 more days that back up arrives home and my doggie princess comes home from being boarded.

OMFG.
I got the call for an interview on Friday morning for the position I really feel positive about!! I may get there and it may not be a good fit but to even get some face time with the folks is an amazing step. I've struggled a bit with feeling "worthy" of the types of positions and salaries being offered to me but I'm making the decision to tell myself, "You deserve good things". Fingers crossed that the perfect opportunity pans out...in whatever form that takes. <3 |
