I woke up smiling after a really great and comfortable sleep. I smiled more when I looked at the clock and realized that I had slept in! Now I am drinking tea and floating in my thoughts.

The pain did not start in until half an hour ago and I have been awake for eight hours already so that alone is something to smile about.

My neighbor, having a hard time cutting his grass. I took my lawn mower and cut his grass. Of course he had to give me specifics on how he liked his lawn to look...he was very specific. I couldn't help but smile.

Finding a handsome photo in a text when I got home from my motorcycle ride... on my new-to-me bike!

An amazing weekend with my Bear. Talking to my momma and hearing her sound so happy.

A very cute cat chasing butterflies in the yard (she didn't get any) and pouncing on ladybugs. Who also all escaped.

On the spur of the moment....going out to dinner with my brother and his family.....had a really nice time with lots of Italian food, conversation, and a lot of laughter.

The Critter Room has another litter! This little ones were born on May 8th, and the camera went live on May 9th. These guys are named for the Mythbusters... Momcat is Kari (and she's kind of inexperienced, but very sweet). The babies are Grant (tabby boy), Adam (cream colored boy), Tory (dark splotched head, not sure on gender) and Jamie (orange pacman splotch on his head). They been making me smile and make weird, high pitched sounds since Thursday....

An email from a very old friend that I hadn't heard from in forever. That is the internet at it's best. I love when that happens and I'm still smiling and it's still early morning. It could be a magnificent day. I hope it is.

Taking off work on a glorious sunshiny day!

The pollen is gone so windows are wide open letting in breeze and birdsong.

Accomplishing some much needed tasks around the house with classical music wafting in the background. A lovely mix with aforementioned birdsong.

The polychromatic blue sky.

A big, fat book order on it's way to my house.

Some art classes on the horizon led by a favorite, if difficult, instructor.

Not only embracing all that life brings, but actively leaning into it.....

This morning, in my email, my prospective new employer wrote to me in response to a document I submitted with re-organized data and formulas used, when calculating company payroll. Her reply was simply one word: Awesome. I smiled. :)

Going for a walk with my best buddy today down by the sea and getting hit by theeeeee biggest wave EVER! Only to find her doubled up on her hands and knees roaring with laughter completely bone dry while I am standing there soaked right through from my belt to my toes . . . . Haha!

Remembering my favorite guy at the shelter who recently moved out coming to visit Friday afternoon.

He: You're a mom right?
Me: Yes? I've told you stories of my kids before.
He: Yeh that's right. Well, Happy Mother's Day.
Me: Awww thank you! That's very sweet of you.
He: Sorry if I beat your kids to the draw but I won't see you over the weekend.
Me: It's totally okay. I don't mind and I know my kids wouldn't either.

Today he came in and asked how my Mother's Day went. :)

Getting a tshirt in the mail today from a sweet friend !! I love getting prizes in the mail !!! :)

Coming home after a day that tried my soul...and having happy pups (and cat) waiting for me at the door! <3
