I went grocery shopping for perishables yesterday. I suspect dinner will be a big salad and maybe some sauteed veggies and something thawed from the freezer.

How's that for specificity?

Precisely the specificity one looks for, in a general sort of way.

It is 8:25 am. I do not even know what I will have for breakfast yet.

It's rainy and damp out so I'm cooking a pot of beef veggie soup, and bakeing a loaf of bread to sop it up with.

Heading to the lake after work tonight so we'll just throw some stuff on the grill when we get there...

hot dogs
turkey sausage links
and of course boudain!

we've got a fresh veggie & fruit tray, too.

leftover stuffed mushrooms
possibly salad and/or bread (i don't have any garlic bread in the freezer but i'm thinking of just making some toast with butter and garlic...)

I just put a bucket of root veggies in the oven to roast, so I am having a mixed french fry party!
I've got a delicious roasted tomato and basil bruschetta with fresh foccacia too.
A splash of red wine, and I'm good to go!
Hockey is on tonight so I am making hockey finger food!
Let's go Canucks!

We had one of those dinners where everything turns out perfectly....I love those...

Ribeye steak started in the pan with olive oil, salt, pepper, onion, garlic and worcestershire sauce...then popped into the oven to finish...tasty and tender and buttery....

Mashed potatoes...made with real butter and half & half

Steamed fresh green beans with just a touch of butter....still a hint of crunch

:chef2:

I had leftovers from last nights dinner

Tossed the stuffing in a bowl first, took the corn off the cob and stirred it in with the stuffing
Lastly, I took the rest of the chicken off the bone in pieces and added it to the mix
Nuked it and grabbed a bottle of rain lime gatorade

Gemme 03-30-2012 07:17 PM

I wound up having taco salad.

pajama 03-30-2012 07:29 PM

Filet Mignon
sweet potatoe fries
and for the first time ever...brussel sprouts. They were very yummy. Of course I salted, onioned, and garlicked the heck out of them to assure they would be eatable.
And a glass of wine to help the cholesterole.
