Imagine!
My son arrived at my door last night with a dozen beautiful roses and a card. I asked, "What are these for?" And his boyfriend said, "It's Mother's Day on Sunday". Was my face red.......but my heart was glowing.

coming home from ER and being greeted by a dog I know spent the entire time I was away, plastered to the door I had left through. I just know she prayed for me to return. I know dogs and all animals have some form of communication to that which is "us and more than us"...when I saw her face and the relief on it, my own face lit up with joy. What love we share, she and I.

Joy is mine! My daughter leaves Michigan tomorrow ~ Mother's Day ~ to move home to me! It will be the first time in almost 19 years that we will have lived under the same roof!
Can You say 'Full Circle'? I do believe this might be one of my most favoritest Mother's Days EVER! (Even though she won't get here until Monday or Tuesday....I'm good with that!) |
Its another beautiful day in the Great Northwest!!! And my kids are full of energy. I'm thinking they will need a picnic in the gazebo today. Ahh, to be a kid.

i went to my very first bathhouse which thankfully wasn't as seedy as i thought it would be. But my joy isn't about going to the bathhouse, it's about being able to put myself out in in social situations, i find being social very incredibly difficult i did it, and didn't stress myself out once |
enjoying time with my friends, my chosen family..I am very lucky to have a gang of friends that love and support me for who I am. it took me a long time to find them but I thank the Lord for them every day. I'm also very blessed to have a partner in this life that wants nothing more than for me to be happy and healthy, seeing her smile warms my heart. Electra(mrs. geek and my Goddess), Missy and Sara(the bestest sisters from another momma that a geek could have), Ernie(my gay boy who looks better in women's clothes than i ever did)and last but certainly not least, all of my bfp buddies...I love you all more than words. that's what brought me joy today :) ~geek~ :nerd:

*Both* foster pups being adopted. Giving a much needed bath to a very skinny puppy, who then ate approximately twice his weight in kibble.

Went to a co-worker's bash after getting off work tonight. Wasn't expecting much because he's a kind of emo guy (not that there's anything wrong with that). Anyway, he was hammered, his roommate was hammered and another guy that works for me was hammered. Basically, it made it hysterical watching everyone. It was a lot of fun, particularly when I grabbed my camera and started taking shots. A Viking hat was passed around for all. And I had my picture made with the Seasons (for realz, two sisters named Summer and Autumn -- and they had a funny since of humor about what happened to Spring.) *grin*
And a a good time was had by all. |

Oh seeing that little hummingbird stop by for a visit; And not just a fly by,,for the second day in a row she showed up and lit on a branch and just hung out for a while. I know what it means. Happy mother's day mom! Still miss you but I am doing fantastic!

My joy today is simple but yummy ~ A Tim Horton's iced cappuccino along with a banana nut muffin and a cinnamon bun :D

Being woke up for Mother's Day. I was told to go upstairs and sit with Grandma, then my brother got my kids together, they got all my gifts and they marched upstairs with them. First were the hand made gifts. A little poem from my son about hands, with his beautiful red hand print on the bottom and a poster from my daughter with a hand drawn picture of me and a poem about Mom's. Those will be framed of course. Then came the bought gifts. A new picnic basket from my parents (I just love picnic baskets, and I really do use them) filled with paper plates and cups and plastic bowels and silverware. And from my kids, a new necklace with a blue geode slice on it and a pretty blue shirt for work. This is one of the best Mother's Days I have had in years.
