A long awaited haircut, and that it is Friday, which means more time with my baby. I just never get enough time with her during the week.

My cheeks have small rough blond hairs on them. That means they are gonna darken and become epic beard hairs :D

My Mom and her chit chatting here in the kitchen while she puts things together for dinner. The fact that she asks Me to come over to *help* yet when I try she tells Me she does not need the help. So I realize that she wants Me here to just spend time..which really makes Me smile.
The true belief that most things are smile worthy. We just have to decide which things that are.....and toss the rest. .....I am in so deep....past the rubicon... |

A much needed day for me! Salon all day for hair, mani, pedi, etc..... Buying 4 new pairs of shoes...always much needed :) Wonderful conversation..... |

He smiled sooooo big at me when I made certain that he got what he wanted. He didn't make a sound. Also, made me cry. A shame that their lives ( down's) are short lived here on earth...the world could use more of those Angels. |
Being able to call her as soon as I woke. Her helping me relax as I was going through nicotine withdrawal. Her letting me help her pick out the electronics. Her reading to me. Spending a morning together because we both have stuff going on later. Her working as I play my new game.

Ok, this was actually yesterday, but...
I smiled so much to see my girlfriend give 200% in her pageant last night. She is running for Ms Gay Edmonton and the finale is tonight. I will smile extra big when she is crowned. :cheer:
I smiled to see her big reveal on City TV Edmonton, Breakfast Television yesterday morning. We did a Dyke to Diva Makeover on the BT morning show. She was amazing. :cheer: I smiled when a friend who had bought some of my art said his partner had shown it to a gallery owner that he knows and she said I am charging too little and she wants to see me next week. :cheer: |
What made me smile today ....
Helping my beautiful daughter get her room set up ... She's moving back home!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get to spend time with the Divine Miss M and Fairy Princess Aimee!!!! My :heartbeat: is so full of :cheer: joy and :hippie: peace!!! My world is less :seeingstars: with my sweet precious family back under one roof!!! :waitinggirl: |

An evening of conversation with a good friend. It seems the hours just fly by when we talk. I am grateful for the friends I have in my life right now. Those bonds mean a lot to me.

So many things! First my day starting off just Perfect with a few texts and a phone call, then baking cookies for my Mom....then driving to a wedding for my uncle and his beautiful bride at a winery, and seeing relatives I hadn't seen for a long time...sometimes my smile was downright joyous laughter!

A little boy named Austin, at the auction. He couldn't have been but 3 at the most. He was good as gold all day long. It was hot and loud and bustling with about 300 people off and on all day. His greatest joy was finding a pair of tongs to play with ahhhh the imagination of a child. Yes the imagination of a child made me smile.
OH and the hummingbirds! I didn't count how many feeders this house had but it had a bunch of them and a gazillion hummingbirds buzzing around like litte dive bombers. |

Being back here at My Mom's today. (it was not planned) and realizing that time spent is worth not having the regret later that I did not take the time.
Even though today is a tough day, I am still smiling because I am blessed with where Life is at right now. Everything and everyone in it...is as it should be. |
Receiving an email this morning from my best friend.
She is on a 5 week trip in Europe with her husband and twins. Glad they are having such a great time....but haven't talked with her since the end of May and missing her lots. |

Thinking of my father and what he means to me. We might not of had the best relationship in the beginning. But it has changed over the years. After I had a heart to heart with him, he put down the bottle,For I am his little girl.He became the best dad ever. His hands tell the story of him.. Those hands that guided me thru some of the worst relationships Those hands that lead to me make my own decisions Those hands that gave me away to start my own life Those hands that held onto wood and tools enlightened me to my own creativity Those hands who reached out when I was at my worst Those hands that helped me climb even further Those hands that taught me how to compromise Those hands that even today, help me. I use my hand to pick up the phone and tell him how much I've appreciated him, and today will be no different than any of the others:) I celebrate my dad today! I received a Father's Day carrot cake. Along with the cake was a note attached. Now who cannot smile about carrot cake? The note will hold a special place...I know it came from the heart.

Last night my girlfriend was crowned Ms Gay Edmonton. We had an amazing night. Her number got a standing ovation, people cheered and cried. She did "We are Family" but added a prerecorded message from her about inclusion and how we all just want to belong and be a part of a family. She had almost all diversities covered with her back up dancers. She deserved this so much for what she does in the community. Now I am still smiling because for a whole year I get to be her First Lady. :D |
My neice Miss Maddie. I haven't seen her in over 2 weeks. I just got back from vacation and she was at camp for a week. I missed her greatly . I hugged her and told her how much I missed her, and thought about her while I was on vacation. Her reply was, as always, honest and from her heart. She said " The funny thing is I didn't think about you at all. " And she stood there as if she was scanning her memory hard, and she said, " Not even one time, I was just real busy." HAHA Gotta love her honesty if nothing else.

Last night the daughter, Daughter's BF and I went to the Travelers game. Sorry, Tulsans, we finally won 1-0 :).

Even though our time has been very limited today, still finding time for each other. Her knowing I am thinking of her. The little things we do to let each other know we are thinking about each other.

My first evening with my new(est) client!
She is a lovely lady...and also has lovely pets! She dotes on them and is so pleased that I love them too... :) She lives very close to some favorite hiking spots AND a state park where I used to swim as a kid with my dad.. http://www.mass.gov/dcr/parks/central/lwsp.htm I got to the area early and perused an old cemetery, a much loved hobby... and if that weren't enough.... I came home to a lovely meal, a glass of wine and some nummy cake :) My honey is the best! |

Having coffee this morning on the back patio and listening to everything wake up, I thought I saw something running back and forth in the yard. Of course I needed to put my glasses on so I could stop the argument in my mind about whether I'm crazy or not. Anyway, it would seem I have baby bunnies now venturing from their well hidden borrow in my hard. I counted 5 of them but I'm sure that isn't all. They're cute lil things.
