Maybe I should have done that.

I have a LOT of stuff cut out, it's just mostly words and it's not coming together. It's like pulling teeth. I'm afraid of having to drop out. But that wouldn't be fair to everyone who put hard work into boards for me already.

Maybe I need a pep talk.

CCB, YOU can do this. I have seen you do so before!

I would be happy with anything to do with a mermaid OR dolphins! You KNOW I beez likin' them lots!

Like GM said, don't stress about having to fill up every single square inch...:)

YOU. GOT. THIS! Kiddo!

candy_coated_bitch 03-03-2019 02:59 PM

Thanks you guys!!! I have some ideas going with painting and drawing now. And yes, GeorgiaMa'am, I do tend to thrive under pressure. I'll pull something out of my ass today!

candy_coated_bitch 03-03-2019 04:13 PM

Ok, I'm on a roll now and got over whatever block I was having. I can see the end in sight.

Thank you all for reals for the ideas and pep talks, it really helped. <3

I'm a little late to the party but I see below you got some majorly fantastic advice.

Besides, I took care of the leave no background visible thing. Seriously, I think I was allergic to it. And some things aren't even straight but hey, that's life, right?

Definitely!

CCB... If ya can't cut n paste then draw, scribble, paint, whatever! The most important thing about a vision board is the vision... not the medium with which it's made. Don't sweat the bits n pieces... focus on the message you want to convey and it'll be smashing! :koolaid:

Yes!

As did I but since I spent roughly 5 hours sitting on top of a very small stool, nothing better come out from there because it's just too darn tender right now.

Yaaaay!

Lyte 03-03-2019 05:33 PM

If there's some union rule about not leaving any background visible... I'm so in the doghouse! :p Per usual... I played well outta the box on this one! :koolaid:

No rule like that that I'm aware of! I left at least some background visible on all of mine - and on some, quite a lot.

I am DONE! This took quite a bit more time than I expected, but I'm pleased with the results. I think you all will be too. And I'm SO EXCITED! I can't wait to see what you all did!

Nanners, I don't think there's any way I can get to the P.O. before 5pm tomorrow, so it will probably be Thursday before you get mine. I'll send it out Priority Mail.

Lyte 03-03-2019 07:55 PM

I'm glad to hear that! And my backgrounds are black...not white. I'm such a naughty crafter! :p

I'm very excited as well to see everyone's creations! :koolaid:

My confession is that I have compulsively collected collage items from magazines for over 25 years and have them all organized and stored. This is why I excelled at this project. Better that I use them now than die with all these scraps :D. It DID take ages to do, however, because there were so many to go through! BUT it did put me at an advantage!

candy_coated_bitch 03-03-2019 11:35 PM

At the 9th hour, I am finished!!!! I am happy with the results. I want you all to know that even though this came together at the last minute, I didn't just throw them together and took time to think of each of you as I made yours.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO ENCOURAGED ME AND/OR GAVE SUGGESTIONS ALONG THE WAY!!!!

I should be able to get to the post office tomorrow or Tues, so nanners, you should get them just in time!

I have regretted not joining this project every day since it was announced! That being said, Lyte your idea to use a black background was brilliant...I would of NEVER thought of that!

Lyte 03-04-2019 01:41 PM

Thank you! Hopefully we'll do it again! The black became a must based on the "backing" that I used. ;)

My vision boards are in the mail!!! Wahoo!!! Nanners, you should be receiving them Thursday.

clay 03-05-2019 04:19 PM

Good job, CCB! See, I knew you would get it done...:)

clay 03-05-2019 04:26 PM

Seeing as how current project is almost done, I have been twirling some noodles around in my brain...:).

I am thinking of maybe doing next project, unless anyone else wants to or has a burning desire to do so.

My thoughts are:

Twinchies......doing doodled zentangles.....with whatever medium you wish...colored pencils, gel markers, colored pens, etc.

Here is some ideas in the link below...

Of course, I want this to be a stress FREE, FUN project that is a no brainer...just a fun filler til we plan something BIG again...

Thoughts, ideas, comments?

Maybe a 5 week turn around....

IDK, that looks difficult and complicated. Maybe not for someone who can draw . . . My impression of Zentangle is that it's something you have to take a class to do? Maybe not, though, I've never tried it.

nanners, you will receive my Vision Boards TOMORROW!!!

I love zentangles and twinchies! Do you think a twinchie would be big enough to get some well defined images?

Oh, no no no! Zentangles can be complex, of course, but all it really is is creating a replicating pattern within another image or shape.

For example: draw a crescent moon. divide the moon up into sections or compartments. create a replicating pattern within each compartment.

If you like the adult coloring, you would most likely like this. It's the reverse, basically.

See?

Another way of describing it might be 'doodling with intent'.

nanners 03-05-2019 09:02 PM

I love the idea of twinchies! And I’ve never tried Zentangle before, so it would be a bit of a challenge but I’m up for it!

I’m looking forward to getting the rest of your vision boards. If I can make it to the post office on Saturday before they close I will mail them out. Otherwise it will probably be Monday or Tuesday before I can make it back to the post office. At any rate I hope to have them to you by the end of next week.

I am open to doing a different size....maybe open it up to a 3x5 IE ATC's...:)

Thanks for helping me, by posting more images, Gemme.

Look forward to others input, too...:)

candy_coated_bitch 03-05-2019 10:59 PM

I feel like I should take a break. I felt I should sit out the vision boards at first, and while I'm happy with how they turned out, I'm thinking I need to trust my instincts and sit one out.

Good idea, though, clay.
