About six inches of snow so far this morning. Another 6-10 by end of day predicted.
But it's a warm 25 degrees + body heat from shoveling so...

JAGG 02-05-2014 08:26 AM

Yesterday was a freaking nightmare. 6-12 in of ice and snow all the way to KC and back 578 miles of it. 14 hour day. Have I mentioned how much I HATE winter?

Julie 02-05-2014 08:50 AM

So far in the Mid Hudson Valley - we have over 10" and it's only 9:45 am (est). They say this is going to continue until 6p. Crazy OUT there.

Teddybear 02-05-2014 09:48 AM

woke at 130-145 ish to see no snow
slept thru my alarm got woke by work a little after 4 only to find we have like 6 inches of snow then NOW its about a foot and still snowing like there is NO end in sight.

I dont live in the mountains however im thinking of starting to cross country ski again

Happyfemme 02-05-2014 10:11 AM

Paradox 02-05-2014 11:13 AM

I'd love snow..

...if I had a snowmobile
and/or
...if I lived in/around small cabins and did snow shoeing or cross country skiing etc.
and/or
...if I was a die hard snowboarder.
and/or
...if I went tobogganing frequently.
and/or
...if I had a choice to stay home.

But NO. I am a city dweller and this snow sucks!!

Trek in mounds of uncleared snow. Like walking through sand, but with boots, a coat, gloves, bags and cold wind instead of a cool summer breeze.
and/or
Stuck in driveway, or snow bank - time to push your car out.
and/or
Or having to clean again because you get plowed in.
and/or
Surround by bad drivers on a good day - worse when there is snow accumulation.
and/or
Sitting in traffic going less than 10k/h ...

because old man winter is having a field day. ;)

February just begun.. :thud: :)

Rockinonahigh 02-05-2014 11:42 AM

I'd sure love to send you all the snow piled up around here!:snowballfight::anothersnowman:

TruTexan 02-06-2014 06:57 PM

It actually snowed in Dallas today and some of it stuck to the ground, wasn't much but it was cold enough to stick today.

So, it does actually snow in Texas folks. My cousin's got snow just outside Austin today as well and it snowed where my dad lives an hour south of Austin. It wasn't much, just enough to dust the ground but it was cold enough to stick.

More snow in the forecast too.

PS: did i mention that it's colder than a well digger's ass outside? Deep subject I know. lmao

Rockinonahigh 02-06-2014 07:08 PM

It's 32* at the moment so far we haven't seen any snow, but 125 miles south of hear in it's really snowing.we either miss the snow one way or the other high or low by 75 miles or so....I am not complaining.

Okay...you have your sources. But what about Tommi? Sure...he's got the fancy graph and everything....it all seems legit....but I have my doubts.

Galahad 02-06-2014 11:21 PM

It was so cold today I had to put on a sweatshirt. What are those tiny drops of water from the sky called again? We had a few of those.

Gemme 02-07-2014 06:02 AM

Another lovely, sunshiney 27-28 degree day for me today. Snow's in the forecast for this weekend. Hope it's just a little bit. I'm pretty sure I'm over winter at this point.

MysticOceansFL 02-07-2014 07:44 AM

TruTexan 02-07-2014 03:49 PM

IT's officially snowing here in East Tx, an hour outside Dallas going East towards Shreveport, LA. It's coming down harder than this morning. Now the snow is starting to stick on the grass a bit.
I'm ready for the snow, I got my winter snow boots out,my gloves, and my ski cap ready to make a snowman and take pics. LOL

TruTexan 02-07-2014 05:49 PM

Yeah Rock, it's gonna melt by tomorrow morning. LOL There's not enough snow on the ground for me to make even a tiny snowman yet. But it's still snowing lightly now. I have a pic posted on my fb page of the snow in the yard, dust covered. LOL

Yeah it sucks not being able to play in the snow today of all days. When I see snow outside, it brings out the kid in me all over again. HEE HEE
