I am sipping on my iced mocha and now looking at newspaper. I am going to go paint somemore at my triplex....till it gets too warm.

I don't have anything special planned for today, other than rest and enjoy a new book, which was given to me by a very special someone.

Last night, I stayed up late reading from The Help (Kathryn Stockett, 2009). I came across an amazing section about Skeeter, where she received an reply back from a senior publishing editor, trying to find her first job as an recent college graduate. Elaine Stein said to Skeeter, and I quote: "Write about what disturbs you, particularly if it bothers no one else."

I SO resonate with that way of thinking and type writing. :stillheart:

In other news, *lol*, I came across two other worthwhile quotes to think upon:

"You must stay 'drunk' on writing so reality cannot destroy you" (Ray Bradbury).

And because it's nearly the advent of the Fall season, here's a beautiful thought for the day:

Hi all, it's Sunday and the island is a little gloomy... I listened to a really good meditation since I missed church due to sleeping in... then I decided to make it a "me" day...

So I've done some self care, facial, deep conditioner to my hair, long shower, a bit of laundry, replaced the toner in my printer, updated some files and apps...made some "sopa" with chicken and pasta for the family and now watching movies and playing on here. I've been busy doing me today...

I did stay in bed longer than I usually do but once I was up, I was up!

Today was sleep in and be lazy in the morning, which I hardly ever do. Late breakfast. Now some catching up around the house and then meeting a friend to go see It and get the pants scared off of us. :)

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Unfortunately, it is not such an overeasy morning here. I am worried about the oncoming storm, and even though Irma isn't likely to be as bad by the time it gets to Atlanta, we're still expecting high winds and flash flooding. All I have done this morning is listen to the news while I ate breakfast. Oh, and I also helped out a coworker - she texted me On The Weekend!, but I understand - sort of. She couldn't manage to get her boarding pass sent to her phone, and her flight does leave this afternoon. It only took a few minutes to help her, but really! She could have just gotten it at the airport instead.

Yesterday I trimmed back shrubbery and dug out a ditch (I mean I just dug out the crap in the bottom of a ditch that already existed - not that I dug a new ditch) to make sure the rain will drain away from my back door. So I don't have any outdoor chores to do today, and in fact, the weather right now is beautiful.

I'm going to make some time to sit out on the porch swing and enjoy the nice weather. I will make an attempt to calm my mind, and hopefully be able to meditate for awhile. I don't have to cook today, although I might bake some brownies - they will be nice to have if the electricity goes out. I'm going to do laundry, so the whole house will smell like clean clothes later.

Thanks for listening to my worried dithering. I will have as overeasy a Sunday as I can manage. I hope you all do too.

I don't have much planned today other than enjoying a new lesbian romance novel (which is very good!) And to also place a call to my mom today....see how she's doing. She's supposed to retire for the 3rd time, she's 78 years old, but she's mentally and physically sharp, so when she retires at the end of October, I know she's going to give all her energy and time and financial resources to expanding her antique business. Really happy my mom can fully retire from her life long vocation as an nurse and do something else in life! :bouquet:

We ran around so much yesterday, that we are staying in today to get the trailer in tip top shape.

It feels strange to not jump in the truck and go take care of the house, but there is so much to do here that I won't miss the extra chores.

Gooday you all,I read paper while drinking my iced coffee,then ran to the store so i could cook some taco soup.Today we had rain,which is the first real rain in 2 1/2 months. Then it was football time and Seahawks won! Now emails a couple quick chores.

I had a nice Sunday morning. I taroted, I journaled, I read, I napped, I texted friends, lit incense and candles. The only thing missing is I didn't have a good breakfast. That would have made my morning complete.

Reading sunday paper drinking my iced mocha.Gonna meet with new tenant then home to relax and watch football.Go Seahawks.

HAPPY SUNDAY FOLKS!!!!! One day of double shifts done, and today's double shifting to go, then I'm home free come 7 am tomorrow!!!:koolaid::koolaid: Hope everybody has a good week ahead. I'm hoping for good weather so I can scrub down the wheelchair ramp and front porch this week and hopefully get some water sealer on there. But the sealer may have to wait until the following week, as it takes 2 days to fully dry and I need to get my spouse down the ramp to doctor appts. this week. We shall see......
