5 things

1. I save every kitty whisker I find in the house and keep them in a glass heart-shaped container in my bedroom.

2. I love to nap. I would take on every day if I could. Esp when the sun shines on the couch in the late afternoon. It's irresistible to me.

3. I own 65 pairs of shoes, boots and slippers (combined, not each).

4. I was really hoping the boss would bring donuts or bagels to work today. But she didn't.

5. I can't be trusted with Halloween candy in the house.

3. I really don't like to see erectile dysfunction commercials.

4. I never thought I'd be sick of lobster, but since our local grocery store ran a special, I have had enough lobster to last a lifetime.

5. I love "Parenthood," but it stresses me out--all that neurotic tension.

uglyboi 10-29-2011 05:51 PM

411

As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

When watching the Olympics, I find myself cheering equally for China and USA. No, I am not of Chinese descent, but I am fairly certain that when Chinese athletes don’t win, they are executed.

I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

I absolutely love spam.
I have a clock collection.

ruby_woo 10-30-2011 02:23 PM

For the past 10 years, I've lived over 2000 miles away from my family, and I no longer feel as close to them as I think I should and I hate it.

When I was 13, I plucked off most of my eyebrows and drew them back on in an attempt to look like Greta Garbo.

I rarely eat potato chips, but when I do I can go through a whole bag in one sitting.

I can't sleep when it's too quiet. I need some sort of white noise.

I'm naturally a very messy person. Tying to keep a clean apartment or desk at work takes a crazy amount of effort on my part.

Lynn 10-30-2011 02:59 PM

1. I don't like to watch football, but I like the sound of the game in the background.

2. I downgraded from my Droid to my old phone, hoping to save a few bucks. It really was just a few, unfortunately.

3. I got a summons for jury duty while we were getting ready for the wedding. Now it's too late to postpone, and I never told my employer. :( Hoping I can still put it off...I missed so much work lately.

3. I love carving pumpkins for Halloween.
4. I'm disappointed to not be able to dress up in costume for work today. Next year, I plan to be a zombie and walk around with "brains" made from a jello mold, yelling, "BRAINS!!!" and then eating it. *grin*
5. I'm about to delve back into photography again.

Like to play in the rain.

And I very submissive, and a hippy

Soft*Silver 11-06-2011 06:11 PM

I alternate between being overheated to feeling chilled, mostly in the evenings. Meds and menopause I suspect.

I want a larger house and a smaller yard. LOL. As my gardens grow smaller and I am indoors more often, my need for indoor space grows as my need for outdoor space dwindles.

I hate tomato soup or any soup with tomato juice in it. I also detest V8 and any version of it

I am a procrastinator...and a very bad one! If I get stumped by an obstacle, I kinda shut down and ignore my task for awhile.

I keep all my tableware in a wicker basket, not lined up by type in a drawer. I dont get why anyone would need to have forks, knives and spoons separated. I can reach into my basket and pull out the stuff I need and it doesnt take up half the space in the kitchen!

Kätzchen 11-16-2011 02:06 AM

My mother’s mom was born in Carbon, Texas (1919): eldest of 13 children, she tended to her siblings and worked on quilts while her parents worked in cotton fields (her parents were sharecroppers).

My grandmother first met her husband (who was 13 years older than her) when he was newly appointed to be a Deputy Sheriff: He was a part of the team of sheriff’s who were charged with finding the Santa Claus Robbery suspects. They married on October 13th, 1929 and ten years later, they gave birth to my mother (July 1939).

My grandfather and my oldest son (Lee) share the same birthday: August 13th.

Both of my parent’s mothers shared identical first and middle names: Vera Lee.

Nine years after I was born (May 1959), two of my grandmother’s brothers – Uncle Elmer and Uncle Luther – came to visit my grandparents that year. I remember them singing a song to me, The Yellow Rose of Texas, on the front lawn on a hot summer-like night for my birthday and presented me with 9 hand-picked yellow roses off of a favorite rose bush in my grandparents back yard.

DamonK 11-16-2011 02:21 AM

I detest daytime. Waking up early at the Reunion may have been a huge insult to my vampiric self.

More and more often, I blow up at others.... But it's a long road to get me to that point.

I'm an avid reader.... of almost anything really. Convince me I'll like it, and I'll give it a chance.

I adore my RPG games.

I taught myself crochet, knitting, cross-stitching years ago, and do all three fairly regularly. I'm currently working on a blanket.

Kätzchen 11-21-2011 11:12 PM

because it's important you know these things about me ...

I have a fetish for snake skin: If I could shoot a gun, I'd shoot every snake I came across because I just love how they look on my feet.

I never could learn how to roller skate backwards or ride my bicycle sitting on the handlebars: I'm complicated like that!

I love the ocean, but I was nearly ripped off the beach by a sneaker wave when I was young and it left a terribly deep impression on me that I still cannot shake from my mind, even if it was years ago. So I worship the ocean from a safe distance.

My youngest sister once threw a rock at my eldest brother and I nearly died laughing so hard at what happened that I nearly regretted laughing.

I once disappeared without a trace to prove a point to my family. I don't regret making that choice as it facilitated the result I was after. I could very well do it again under the right circumstances.

Lynn 11-22-2011 09:04 AM

When I was a child, I ran away from home and no one noticed. All that sobbing, walking across the bridge into down town, like a pathetic waif, and no one noticed. (pooooor me!) The desired result was *not* facilitated! :)

For two years, I have been seeking to obtain a job that pays more and has better benefits. One where I don't have to drive 400 miles or more per week. One that has some kind of retirement benefit. With all the interviews, I can't seem to make it to the final offer. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Do I want it too much or not enough? Is there ever going to be something for me?

Sadie has made almost a complete adjustment to her new home with us. She hops on our laps, plays fetch with her toys (and the cats'), sleeps in our bed, and leaps for joy when we come home. The cats are starting to relax around her, too.

It's gratifying to see my younger daughter doing so well in school this year. She's finishing up her final half year, so she can get her h.s. diploma. Then she will go into a college program for young adults with mild developmental disabilities. It's amazing that she's come so far. I remember all the years of uncertainty, especially concerning her health.

I still find it disconcerting to see certain people on Facebook (friends of friends) who used to be bullies. My bullies. Now they live normal lives with their children and spouses, and I wonder how they can even raise healthy, functional kids. What do they know about life that they didn't know then? Are their kids bullies, too?

princessbelle 11-22-2011 09:17 AM

I smoke and it has been an ongoing struggle to "kick the habit". Still trying.

I am somewhat of a hippie and love that era and surround myself with peace signs and try and view the world in this optimistic, love for all place.

I had many eye surgeries as a child and almost lost my sight. But, my eyes are fine now.

I have always been a girly girl but was somewhat of a tomboy in pink in elementary school. I was the one of the first girls chosen when picking sides in football and kickball. Still love sports and, even at my age, was on a women's softball team two years ago.

I collect tiny little tea sets and i still have some from when i was a child.

Random Thangs

When eating hot cheetos, I suck all the chili powder off, take it out of my mouth, look at it, then chew it.

I’m ok with most chores, but putting away clean laundry… God have mercy.

Speaking of laundry, it bugs me if the hangers in my closet don’t face the same way. But I don’t care if I hang clothes up inside out.

When I’m texting someone and I’m excited I will read the last message they sent me and the last message I sent them in different voices and laugh.

I’m terrified of Oprah.

kissinfemme 11-25-2011 09:56 PM

Just_G 12-23-2011 12:25 PM

* One of my biggest fears is growing old alone, but love spending an abundant amount of time alone now, so why would I fear that when I get old? I'm a wierdo. :winky:

* I am having one of the best years of my life since turning 40! (and it is just going to get better and better!

* I don't feel like my football uniform is complete without a jock strap.

* I tell my dogs to be good every morning when I leave for work...they can't be anything BUT good in their kennels.

* I am fascinated to think that I can be looking at the moon and call someone in a whole other part of the country and tell them to look at the moon, and when they do, it makes me feel closer to them geographically. Again, I'm a wierdo...lol

JustLovelyJenn 12-23-2011 01:15 PM

My 5 things..

1. I am 5'7 and have been taller then almost every one of my partners

2. I was pregnant and married before my Senior year of high school and divorced 2 yrs later after deciding it was time to be honest with myself and be authentic.

3. I am a certified Hypnotist

4. I am a Psi Vamp/Energy worker and Empath

5. I love the paranormal and unexplained.

WomenMoveMe 12-23-2011 04:31 PM

Fabulous five...

I practice doing most things with only one hand in case I lose the other. Although absolutely left-handed (except golf and the guitar)...I am now quite ambidextrous.

I am afraid of only snakes and can not even bring myself to touch them in books. Forget watching a Tarzan movie where inevitably an anaconda will drop from the trees onto some poor, unsuspecting safari-goer.

I like spam and jelly sandwiches...but it can only be apple jelly.

If I eat a candy bar I will sometimes put the wrapper in my shoe and walk around with it in there all day. It is sorta like it is my little secret.

When my cat talks to me (which is all the time)...I always pretend she is telling me how stunningly beautiful I am and carry on that conversation until she tires of it and seeks sanity in another room.

Silverseastar 12-23-2011 05:10 PM

1. I'm in art school in my early 40's

2. I call my dog "Muffin Head", don't ask me why!

3. I have 4 tattoos

4. I'm experiencing my first Christmas as a single person in 22 years

5. This upcoming year (2012) I'm planning a trip to Greece with my 16 year old daughter

CherylNYC 12-23-2011 05:17 PM

Another five:
I don't have or watch television. With the exception of a miserable six years living with a long-ago ex, I haven't had a television since I left my parent's house at 17. That was, um, a long time ago.

The list of foods I can eat has probably become shorter than the list of foods I can't eat.

The sight of oatmeal can actually make me gag.

I've never belonged to a gym.

If I ever become so disabled that I can no longer ride motorcycles, I've told all my friends to just pull the plug.

Jett 12-23-2011 06:06 PM

I have a rare blood disorder, the two main bad things about it- makes my blood vessels overreact to the cold making me get colder faster, and the biggy- if I get cold and my body temp drops even a degree or two my blood (abnormal proteins and antibodies in it) starts to gel... yes gel. So I can't stay warm on my own well and if I get cold I can die, the in between state just is slightly painful.

I play guitar when I'm stressed, and I play a lot around the holidays- too much hubbub around shopping etc., which I love, shopping that is,,, just not holiday shopping, the crowds and the florescent lights in the stores drive me batty.

I love old style decor, not old timey, not mod but real old style, Victorian etc. etc. and deplore modern eg: a white cube with a piece of glass on it for a table... ew, abrasive to the soul (my apologies to those with such decor, just not my style at all ;)

I'm a misanthropist, though make no mistake those close to me have my total love, loyalty and adoration... it's all those idiots out there I can't stand... heh.

I once was arrested for riding my motorcycle atop a block wall, onto a bank building and jumping down on a berm on the other side in downtown. They couldn't catch me but arrived later at my house where I saw them out the window feeling the engine of my bike for warmth... they said the recognized me by my black leather pants, I fought it in court based on that but lost.

Soft*Silver 12-23-2011 08:07 PM

I held funerals for my dolls as a child, and buried them in my mother's flower beds. Hmmmm

I have blue green color blindness. Because I changed the rods and cones in my eyes by wearing purple, yes purple tinted lenses in the 70s.

I was a disco queen. No shit. Honest to god. And was damn good at it. I had people lined up all night wanting to dance with me.

I absolutely hate to dance now, except of course when i am hallucinating in a sleep clinic study. Then I belly dance and do my best to engage "my friends" to join me.

As a child, i was an alien cow one year and the "wow factor" was that I came from Udder Space...

Mr Nice Guy 02-04-2012 04:34 PM

1. I'm very laid back. (like a lounge chair)
2. I'm shy when I first meet you.
3. I love disaster movies.
4. I like R and B
5. I sometimes do karaoke.

Sassy 02-04-2012 05:33 PM

I love Ella Fitgerald's singing.

I always wanted kids and all I have are angels.

My happy place is outside, listening to the wind in the trees.

I learned to talk at 11 mo's and have an outstanding IQ.

I'm have issues with authority, and anger -- my own or others -- makes me emotional/want to cry. (This sucks as a woman in the workplace. LOL.)
