last night...
tri-cultural 10 year old's birfday par-tays are fun as. happy birfday was sung in 3 languages... english, chilean spanish and maori. food was traditional chilean sloppy hot dogs (yum-o!) and to die for! home-made desserts were amazin', to boot. a big time was had by all. :cheesy:

Need a thread called "What made you cry today"...
Got the o.k. from Uncle Puppy Daddy to give notice at work. I am crying from relief. I hate the drive - driving 25 minutes to hour (depending on the traffic) for $10 an hour bites. I have no flexibility as far as a steady schedule, days off, crap I can't even leave to take lunch. Pus I get treated poorly by the uppity-ups just because I asked to see their i.d., and I guess it's just too d*mn much to ask for "because they are late for a meeting, can't I just let them in??" Oh really. I have been so incredibily stressed the smuck out I just burst into tears when he said yes. So tomorrow I get to go in and tell everyone I give notice. And really, it's not my co-workers. Shoot, they were just starting to treat me like one of the gang. It's the drive and the clientel. |
I am smiling thru the pain my walk last night kicked my bum but it feels good because I know next time I do it I will smoke it!

Recalling all I got accomplished yesterday and the excitement that I felt while doing it. Not to mention I was called Sir all evening even by the cop that had to explain to this new Portland resident how very lucky I was that he didn't ticket me for not having my Max ticket validated. Mind you I had the ticket at least unlike some unlucky riders that got busted in the sting.

:) my knee replacement surgery got bumped up to this Monday and although ill be on crutches , my wife and I will still get to go on our Baltimore inner harbor trip in 3 weeks !!!! This makes us very very very happy
That or the Tylenol 4's I'm on is making me happy :) |

My child made homemade cookies!!! I was surprised and they were yummy! pecan ones, they tasted like candy for some reason lol, and some chocolate chip ones!

Not just smile but laugh uncontrollably........ Drinking tequila with my sister and watching her shake her ass, dance and sing. I haven't seen her this relaxed in YEARS! I feel very lucky to have had this time with her today. I know I will remember this night forever.

Yesterday: a sweet child about 18 months throwing me kissing at an art exhibition...what a gift.
Today: early morning run on my favorite beach under grey sky with Sun breaking through...its rays falling on the sea...touching it brilliantly...lighting parts of it and creating jewel-like tones...another gift. And now a thunder storm...loving it! living in gratitude for this life, Greco |
