Rooster's final grades for the 2nd quarter of school.....straight A's....with half of those in Honors classes....and still on the Principal's Honor Roll.

or she is wearing a sweater and sunglasses in Balboa Park and he
is raking leaves in Ithaca
or he is driving to East Hampton and she is standing disconsolate
at the window overlooking the bay
where a regatta of many-colored sails is going on
while he is stuck in traffic on the Long Island Expressway.

When a woman loves a man it is one ten in the morning
she is asleep he is watching the ball scores and eating pretzels
drinking lemonade
and two hours later he wakes up and staggers into bed
where she remains asleep and very warm.

When she says tomorrow she means in three or four weeks.
When she says, "We're talking about me now,"
he stops talking. Her best friend comes over and says,
"Did somebody die?"

When a woman loves a man, they have gone
to swim naked in the stream
on a glorious July day
with the sound of the waterfall like a chuckle
of water rushing over smooth rocks,
and there is nothing alien in the universe.

Ripe apples fall about them.
What else can they do but eat?

dry as the martini he is sipping.

It's a silent picture.

which sounds great in an English accent.

waking up with our little one still in my arms...then hearing your voice......rainy days ....reading time....and thinking about you and our kids...

Starting my day with the coffee pot shuffle...and waking up with him over that first cup of coffee, even if it's by IM for now.

Talking to the realtor...and feeling more confident about selling my NY house...and getting out from under this crushing load of debt.

Rooster...who always makes me laugh.

A flood of emails at work expressing gratitude and kudos when I handed off my biggest project of each year. It feels good to be appreciated.

His voice, his laughter....and how he makes me feel whenever we talk.

Surprises
 

A surprise visit from Daddy at work today, out of the clear blue. Secret kisses stolen by the back door. The smile can't be erased from my face! Hy made my whole day!

Coming home to my pets always makes me smile. :)

The last day of 36... it had it's lows and it is going out on a high note.

Scratching the ears of baby elephants? That sounds very nice but I'm curious, what was the context?
