Well...
I am a "mush" as some of you know - especially when it comes to "family".
Yesterday, (dinner time) I took my LONG ALL NIGHT cooked spaghetti sauce to my parents and had a nice meal for/with them. I do NOT cook otherwise... well/MUCH. But, I DO make a fairly decent spaghetti sauce, and it is like my one grandmother's - that BOTH of my parents like. (And my grandparents are now long gone.) So, I was happy that we had this nice little dinner tonight. I cooked that darn sauce for 10 hours, I swear! And I KNOW, both of my parents were taken back to HENRIETTA'S sauce and "memories". (Yes, Henrietta Bessie - how the hell is THAT for a name? And she was my best friend growing up and my father's mother. SHE was a pistol, no doubt about it!!) __ NOW SURE, it was a "comfort food", but.......... SO WHAT?! SMILE I miss you grandma - and we gave a "toast" to you on Mother's Day, ya little shit!! LOVE YOU! GANGSTER GRANDAUGHTER THAT YOU LOVED, HERE!! (With MUCH PRIDE :cheesy:) ME :stillheart: |

Got up early spent quiet time in meditation , stopped to smell my roses, spent some going thru my ABCs, just peaceful, serene and happy. Its going to be a great day!
