Today has been busy so dinner is a roast with everything thrown together and then in the oven to cook while I finish the 101 things left for today :glasses:

i threw hamhocks and beans in the crockpot this morning, just made cornbread in the cast iron skillet, and fried potatoes along side.
Carbs and starch all day long but man is it good! |
Not sure yet--
Probably leftover chili-- made a month ago or so, put in freezer, now thawing. Will serve with salad and grass fed cheese. |
KFC with mashed potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. Yum!

Baked potato soup and chicken salad sandwich

Started with good intentions, marinated chicken in teriyaki this morning for a stir fry.
I was pleasantly side tracked. Came home much later for a bowl of mini wheats, I added cinnamon honey sprinkles on top. A few strawberries on the side. |
Last night dinner was butternut squash soup and grilled chicken.

The Brutal One is home so we're doing a steak on the grill...........YAY!!! New potatoes and brussel sprouts some way or other. YUM

Fusion Food!
I'm taking a traditional bread from northern China, topping it with a chunky tomato sauce, covering that with a ground chicken fajita layer followed by a grated Irish aged cheddar. Pop it in the oven for about 15 minutes until the cheese melts to a gooey goodness, and serve!

I don't usually post here but there is a place in my town that brews fabulous beer and makes some of the best bratwurst I have had. Got a friend to go with me tonight.

a lot ... a whole lot
just came in from doing yard work most of the day ... had to do the yearly maintainence service to my mower first thing this morning ... then yard work until just now ... hungry, hot and tired ... but feel so good about the day's accomplishment :) |
being i'm home alone I am fixing myself a pot of mixed greens with turnip's after I saute'd some bacon and onion. A bit of hard crust bread to sop it up with and I will be in hog heaven.
