The constant use of "Ya-know-what-I'm-sayin?" at the end of every other sentence.

I don't know why, but when young kids like teenager use "dude" it doesn'y bother me. It just sounds like kid lingo that we have at that age. But, like you, it can get on my nerves with adults.

Now, I have to think about what word I use a lot and maybe don't even realize I am using it!

The word I am tired of? Honesty.

asphaltcowboi 11-06-2010 07:54 AM

"what ever"

CrankyOldGuy 11-06-2010 10:34 AM

efficacy as in pharmaceuticals

I Have a few.....these are the ones that make me grind my teeth.

Ridiculous.....People use this word when what they are describing is not ridiculous. It might be unfair, confusing, illogical, though.

Closure - I still don't understand what this means.

The phrase "please advise" stuck at the end of an email.

Dude

cool

awesome

da' bomb (but I don't hear it very often any more, thankfully).

Bizarre. I've been hearing this word a lot lately, and it's making me want to claw my eyeballs out.

Miss Scarlett 11-11-2010 06:26 AM

Disrespect and all forms thereof...

It seems that everywhere you turn someone, somewhere is complaining of this and/or using it as an excuse or justification for bad behaviour.

Diva 11-11-2010 11:16 AM

"Hun" & "dear".

It reminds me of my former mother-in-law. She didn't really mean it when she said it. It was HER way of sayin' "bitch".

JustJo 11-11-2010 01:25 PM

privilege

agenda (not in the business sense, but the personal)

trope (haven't heard it in awhile, but if I do again I swear I'll hurl)

and....I confess, it's petty, but I hate it when people use expressions incorrectly....like "tow the line"....when it's "toe the line".... :seeingstars:

happygirl 11-11-2010 01:33 PM

Bang for your buck.

Kobi 11-11-2010 01:38 PM

copayment

as in we billed your primary insurance,
and we billed your secondary insurance,
and there is still a copayment.
Exactly how much money do these freakin
health care people need??????

scootebaby 11-11-2010 01:41 PM

"wont happen again"--when u know full well it will

"but".......i wont even let them finish after this word

"why".......because i freakin said so

"i know".....well if u know why do u KEEP doing it

and of course what my sweetie posted.....we can go on for days over those things...lol

Scorp 11-11-2010 02:00 PM

I would like to add an "expression" I'm tired of:

"I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit" :slapfight:

I can't stand when someone says that....

Jesse 11-11-2010 02:25 PM

This may have been posted already, not sure.

I can't ... drives me bonkers because the truth is you won't. :seeingstars:

Guy 11-11-2010 02:30 PM

JustLovelyJenn 11-11-2010 02:32 PM
