QDEP has been invited to speak about queering immigration at the Detention Watch Network conference in May, and its organizers are working in conjunction with several other grassroots orgs throughout NYC, including Housing Works, Metropolitan Community Church of New York, Immigration Equality, Audre Lorde Project, and the Ali Forney Center, and is a part of the LGBT Legal Task Force of NYC, Housing Works Asylee Project Roundtable, and the #not1more campaign. Are you a dahn-suh?

If you've not seen this company, you don't know what you're missing. I happened upon them many years ago and see them when they are in residency in NY.

A visceral experience like none other.

Still time to get tickets.

Whales in the City

Because their favorite feeding fish is seemingly aplenty off the coast of Manhattan, whales are within view of the city.

If you've never seen a whale, you won't friggin' believe it when you do. Magnificent creatures!

Check out these tours and get yourself an experience you'll never forget.

Yesterday, I went to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, conveniently located at Pier 88 on the West Side Highway. http://www.intrepidmuseum.org

If you live in NYC or are visiting, fun and interesting thing to see and experience.

GO. You will have fun!

Can You Believe it's Almost Holiday Time?

I just signed up to be a driver delivering food to those who otherwise would have no way to eat on Thanksgiving. I encourage ALL of my fellow NY area folks to help out any way you can!?

Thank you in advance!

Where The Cool Kids Go

One of the best cultural resources, and the coolest, in NYC, IMHO, is the great 92Y --> http://www.92y.org

Great lectures, classes, talks, music, dance, health, fitness.

Affordable!

Go. Do. Be. See. Learn. Dive into culture: The water is fine.
