Today was a good day to get a little water preparedness drill in. All I can say is I'm exhausted and it's a plan that needs improvement. That and I still have two and a half days left to go. It's sobering to think for me this is just a temporary inconvenience, but for millions and millions around the world, how I lived today would be paradise.

i've cooked on a woodstove and enjoyed it...i was always motivated to start breakfast early as i used it to heat the cabin on cold mornings.

living off the grid

It is good to see memories for me. I was raised with a wood stove in our kitchen, no running water and no indoor plumbing so I could live like that NP. Ty for sharing.

the most ideal place i've ever lived was Alaska, in between Wasilla & Palmer..the soil there was magical and you could grow almost anything.. i grew everything in my garden there but my favorites were carrots and peas that were so sweet i've never had anything like them since, potatoes, cabbage, spinach, and golden beets..and flowers of course..a summer feast for the eyes...perched on a hill it felt like a paradise..i was 19

if you live off grid or in the country learn how to bake bread..it's one of the first things i learned living in Alaska..it took me a little while to figure it out..i didn't have a mixer, i just used a spoon to mix it. around 100 stirs w a wooden spoon..
