Don't worry. In 20 (er, 10...maybe 5) years, none of us will have an ocean to swim in! :| We'll all be in the same boat, so to speak.

Cailin 03-07-2015 09:45 AM

a stand up jewelry case to hold the 50 million necklaces that I have (which are in a much smaller box, all tangled)

Except for being here via my local library every Saturday morning, I've been living mostly off grid, and digging it, but my radio broke, and I really should get another one. Also, I really should have another wood-burning stove.

Ha, ha, same boat...good one.

Oddly enough that isn't as comforting as one might think.

But even if I can't swim in it, I still want to be near it.

The future, so much is going to change. Not much to do about it now I guess.

Take my love, take my land
Take me where I cannot stand
I don't care, I'm still free
You can't take the sky from me.

Honestly, I would have to say nothing. There are things I do want, but it's up to me to go get them. Should- I have everything I need to survive.

MsTinkerbelly 03-09-2015 01:15 AM

I have always been someone who is happy with what she has, for example i wouldn't even have an iphone if my LG Chocolate phone hadn't burned out it's speakers after several years.

The only thing i would love to have, is good health.

Please and thank you.

Among some of the more mundane things currently missing from my life are forks and spoons. Every time I go to the store, I forget utensils and once I'm outta there I'm definitely not going back in for that.

So, I cook and eat, lol, with a giant rubber spatula given to me for free by my utility company, two butter knives, and I have like 20 chopsticks.

Anything that requires more surface area to successfully make it into my mouth necessitates the use of the aforementioned giant rubber spatula as a spoon surrogate. And I have to really stretch out my mouth to get it around the edges of the spatula - think snake unhinging its jaw to dine, lol - which the thought of that makes me laugh.

I use the two butter knives together like a pair of tongs.

Chopsticks for anything that can be speared, skewered, stirred, or used like a normal person employs a pair of chopsticks.

lol, so am I a barbarian or what? I should have put this in the living alone is making me weird thread.
