The Wizard of Oz - have it on for the second time this weekend!
I remember the first time I saw it on a colour TV and how magical it was when Dorothy opened the door and everything went from sepia to colour... I also love the scene when Dorothy is up in the cyclone and Miss Gulch turns into the Witch of the East...My Grandmother took my Mom to see the movie when it first came out...Mom was about 3. When Miss Gulch turned into the Witch Mom decided she'd had enough and raced out of the theatre screaming...my Grandmother in pursuit. They spent the rest of the movie at the back of the theatre...occasionally Mom would peek in and scream again...I don't recall her ever watching this movie all the way through with us when we were growing up... :blueheels: <--- these shoes really need to be red! |
