empowered

Empowered sick of this word since it seems those mostly who use it are far from being empowered. Seems like if you have to texplain to someone how you're empowered, you probably aren't.

No one asked me. And I don't want many of the things the so called "American People" want. Aren't I part of the American People?

Ok, I will get off my box now. But it vexes me every time I hear that phrase. grr!

I really like this comment! LOL

One of my college teachers had us do a little experiment....go through the weekend (it was a M W F class) and, every time we would have said 'sorry' to replace it with "I apologize". Though the point of the assignment wasn't strictly just to notice the amount in which we do, or not, say 'sorry' that was definitely a side effect. Everyone came back on Monday realizing just how much we say it, and, how often we do or do not mean it.

Snow!

It cancelled my trip to the mountains last Saturday. Now they are calling for it again this weekend which means my plans for Christmas will likely change.

OMG me too! You know I actually saw this phrase on a Confederate flag that was flying in front of a house in the town where I work.

I am tired of people adopting animals without thinking ahead. People that adopt only to dispose of an animal because they move, it chews a piece of furniture or grows up and isnt baby cute any more. Adopting any animal is a life time commitment and if you can't make it, don't do it. No animal should suffer at the whims of a selfish human being.

tuffboi29 12-22-2010 09:25 AM

I don't know if this has been said yet...

The word "whatever".

Especially when used in that valley girl tone???? :|

Right..Disregard and disrespect everything I feel or say with one nails-on-a-chalk-board-self-absorbed-asshole word.

Yea.... :thefinger: you too.

I hear you Sachita, but also know from my own experience that the most wonderful intentions don't always work out....we got a full-size rough collie, expecting to keep her forever, but found that she was simply more dog than we could handle. She wasn't happy...and we weren't either. I ended up giving her to a friend of the family who adores her (and she him)...and she's now a happy dog. What pisses me off is people who get to that "oops" point and just dump them rather than find a better fit for them....and, even more, those that randomly breed puppies and kittens (either for money or just because they're cute). If you aren't a breeder who knows what they're doing...I truly believe all animals should be spayed or neutered.

As far as the word I'm (more than) tired of....I'm with the "whatever" crowd. Ugh! Disagree with me...fine. "Whatever" me....now I'm pissed.

"At the end of the day"

theoddz 12-22-2010 09:55 AM

Lately, I've been sick and tired of these words I keep hearing at work...."Bring a vent" and "intubate", especially at Christmas time. :(

~Theo~ :bouquet:

Nat 12-22-2010 10:35 AM

Christmas
Holidays
Cheer

And the phrases:

Don't sweat the small stuff.
What do you do for fun?

Blade 12-23-2010 05:24 PM

caint........yeah I know that isn't a word, but anyone who has or knows kids knows the word. For those who have kids with perfect grammar and perfect enunciation skills it's "CAN'T". It's all the same and I get tired of hearing it from adults and kids.

Greyson 12-24-2010 09:50 AM

Two words, "Ho" and "Bitch"

afixer 12-25-2010 05:21 PM

I got this

really?

if you fucking had it there would be no need to tell me that you do.

Strappie 12-25-2010 07:03 PM

FUCK YOU...

Sorry this word should be taken out of the English language. I don't mind the word FUCK.. hell I actually like it. But when it's used with YOU... Nope.... I like to open the door and push them out and say... nice knowing ya, but not really.

Pixie 12-25-2010 08:04 PM

Your.....

Not in the sense of ownership...but when a person is being selfish and self centered and they want to push off their connections to the issues on you.....

Greyson 12-25-2010 09:44 PM

Sup? .......

turasultana 12-25-2010 09:47 PM

socialize

as in "let's socialize that idea with the team before presenting to the seniors"

JakeTulane 12-25-2010 10:20 PM

Whatever.

Fine.

Just sayin'.

Nice.

re: words you hate

conversate, conversating...

little_ms_sunshyne 12-25-2010 10:47 PM

" I could care less"

It is "I COULDN'T care less"...Not that I usually notice these types of errors but when people use it, most likely it is attached to something negative. I want to reply..."Fine then care less!"

CrankyOldGuy 12-31-2010 05:23 PM

Chancie 12-31-2010 05:33 PM
