I miss Buddies so much my friends and I would hang out there all the time.
Now there is Sue Ellen's but its not the same place it was 15 yrs ago.
S4 has become the place for women to go to.

Excellent question! For this vacation, I'm looking for opportunities to meet the locals, b-f folks in particular. I don't know if there are restaurants, bars, etc. that would be welcoming.

I live between Austin and Dallas, but I am not familiar with the Dallas scene. I've heard good things.

There's a gayborhood called Oaklawn...Cedar Springs Road is the main street that the bars/clubs/restaurants are on. Sue Ellen's is the women's bar. There's also JRs, S4, Rose Room (drag shows), TMC, Round Up (country western), Woody's (sports bar), etc.

Sure hope to catch up with you while you're here!

Hey aishah, welcome to the DFW area, this place is a big city with lots of traffic.
I know the Northpark Mall area somewhat, I live in Plano, TX.

i stayed in plano for a few weeks! i work in garland and can get to plano pretty easily on the train, though the buses don't go to all parts of the city. maybe we can have coffee sometime! :)
