9 am Sunday morning in California - Still in my jammies, in the swivel rocker, laptop on board, swilling coffee, NPR on the radio...

--sitting at the counter of one of Phillys ubiquitous diners, dependably mediocre food and big Philly haired waitresses asking me, "youse wanna more coffee hon?"
--iPad surfing --email banter with my good friend in Canada, she's brilliant and funny and talking with her makes me lol all day (she's baking banana bread, I'm sure I can smell it from here) --wishing my bro Turtle would get me a cup of coffee from the kitchen --emailing my friend in Texas about career changes (she's a teacher and therefor by definition, is saving lives and making the world a better place) --it's finally Spring-like in Philadelphia and I'm feeling ever so more optimistic about everything ! |

Right now im sitting on this fleather couch in at this nail place watching my wife getting her nails and legs and feet massaged and im getting a high from smelling all this paint and chemicals in this establishment.

after spending hours on the phone...I went out to wash my car. Must say, it was fun playing in the water. I even detailed my rims! Ta da!
Now I'm sitting down, doing some planning, and bill paying. I still need to finish spring cleaning my clothes closet. I'm not even going to tell you how much I'm giving away. :eek: |

Right now, I'm making a version of my own "Hot & Sour" soup in the kitchen --
something that I can nurse on for the rest of the day, to help combat my allergies which are on the fritz and driving me crazy. Other than that, later today if I have the energy, there's a bit of laundry to wash and dry - it may be nightfall, before I get to that sort of housework. |

Cooking lunch for a friend for tomorrow. She put on a killer musical with our kids last week and I'm thanking her with a special order meal. We meet up tomorrow morning with our homeschool group so I cook tonight to present to her tomorrow. Then we feast. Tomorrow is the last day of our group before we break for summer. (even thought the kids still get together for bike rides and such)
Waiting for my guy to call in a few. Wondering what my kid is doing. She's awful quiet. Sometimes when she is quiet, she is hiding one of these :flyingmonkey: in the house. It's a prank we play on each other. Last week he was tied to my ceiling fan. True story. |
