I can recall my first encounter with the paranormal...the assination of JFK. I was 3 months old. It was just that traumatizing, if that is the right word to use.

The next one was when I was in 1st grade. I had a full fledged conversation with xyz in school. This person sat down next to me in class, and we talked at length about what was going on, and my mission in this life. Then I came back to my class, and this person was gone. Time was missing.

Throughtout my life too many things have happened. I know too much. I have seen too much. Often I will ask others what they "see" or "perceive" to be happening. And I think on it. Sometimes I have to go to Church and pray because it is just overwhelming.

When my beloved sister, Jo, was dying, this really threw me for a loop. I just knew the outcome before the doctor's lips even opened. I also knew when I had to do what task and at what time. It was just knowing. It took 3 yrs for her to die.

You remember JFK dying when you were 3 months? I don't remember anything till I was 3 years old. We were in Comodoro Rivadavia in Southern Argentina when he died....

I do get faint thoughts or a weird feeling about things, people or places sometimes. I know the phone is going to ring and who it will likely be. Who I need to stay away from.

I was very sick to my stomach and knew something horrifying was happening when my mother died. I remember lying on the sofa just knowing.

Sometimes I will start singing a song, then turn on the TV and the song will be playing in the same key at the same point I was in the song.

When I am spun, things jump off the shelves around me and electrical things don't work right.

A watch will not keep time if I wear it. Magnetic hotel key cards never work for over a day for me.

Paranormal? Who knows. I think of it more like science we don't have an explanation for yet.

Andrew, Jr. 03-09-2010 10:51 AM

Yep, I have the same experiences as you do. To this very day I rarely wear watches because I stop the watch from working. I have tried using nail polish on the back of the watch (a clear color) as a barrier between my skin and the watch battery. It doesn't work. I still stopped it.

My parents were having a huge party in November. My mother was in the dry cleaners when it came over the radio in the car. I was with my Grandmother and siblings.

I was thinking about having the glucose meter watch that is coming out on the market. However, I am not sure if it will work with my chemistry.

I have tried clear finger nail polish too, and clear tape. Did not help at all.

Lady Pamela 03-09-2010 10:59 AM

I as well can not wear electrical devices but I did learn that some people can if they place a rubber piece behind the back of the watch..It did not work for myself..But it is worth trying ...Smiling

Andrew, Jr. 03-09-2010 11:08 AM

Oh yes, I tried that one too. Still a no-go. :hangloose:

Who needs a watch anyways?...lol

The only place time exists as we know it anyway, is here..On this mundane planet...Grin

Andrew, Jr. 03-09-2010 12:33 PM

Do others pray and meditate throughout the day? I do. I find it gives me inner peace.

There was a quote I used today by Mr. Peale, "Don't take tomorrow to bed with you." I find he is so right about that one. I try to make peace with each and every day and each and every person. I am a peacemaker in my family. It is something that I have tried to do with my siblings and parents. Sometimes it works, and sometimes not. But I did try.

I may try that. In the US I use my cell phone and I have a pocketwatch I clip on my purse or bag when I am traveling. :)

Hey all!

I've been reading this thread - very interesting stuff indeed. My girlfriend is sensitive to some things paranormal. I am not - not at all - and I am so glad.

I do believe in it, but I'm (thank god) not sensitive to any of it. I do agree with what Jen mentioned, that it's probably an area of science that we can't currently explain. I'm a scientist at heart, and I do think there is a scientific explanation for it all, but expect it will be years (if ever) that we even start to sort it out.

Also I wanted to mention that my mother has the same issue with watches. WHat works for her is putting electrical tape on the back of the watch. Worth a shot perhaps...

Yeah, it's going to be one of those nights around here tonight.

This just happened. I'm sitting here playing on my computer and my cat starts tickling and smacking me on the back of my right arm with her tail. No big deal, happens all the time...What's different tonight is that my cat is nowhere near my right arm because she's asleep on a small foot stool to my left...

Guess I have a houseguest.

I know this is not exactly on topic, but I am a big Monsterquest fan. I have a friend on the site, but maybe there are others out there?

Andrew, Jr. 03-24-2010 12:49 PM

Yes, I too am a monsterquest fan. :sugarglider: I love the show!

I wanted to throw this out here. I posted it in the movie thread too. There is an upcoming movie called "The Rite" starring Sir Anthony Hopkins and is being directed by Mikael Hafstrom. It is based on a book written by Matt Baglio "The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist". It is about an American Priest who travels to Rome to learn how to perform exorcisms. Has anyone read the book? I am going to see the movie most definitely!

Ghost Huntin' Daddy 03-24-2010 02:20 PM

Andrew....I met him on my ghost hunt with TAPS...He's an awesome guy and funny as hell....lol. Very much into saving animals from shelters too. I have a great pic with him on my FB group too. Oh and I won a reading with him in an auction, but havent done it yet. But I will soon!

Andrew, Jr. 03-24-2010 02:44 PM

I would love to meet Chip one day. He just leaps off the screen at me! :beerbros:

PS: I also get a kick out of the scarves that he wears. He has more scarves than all 4 of my sisters and 6 nieces combined have in total!

I will have to check out the pictures. Gettysburg is very very very haunted. My adopted brother and his partner have seen ghosts, orbs, and ufo's there. I have just seen ghosts. Have a great time! :boxers:

Thanks so much! And yes he had some scarves with him on the weekend...LOL. He's alot of fun to sit around with and shoot the shit. He absolutely LOVED the idea of an all gay paranormal group. Said he would join us when he could!

Andrew, Jr. 03-24-2010 03:05 PM

Chip seems to be less stressed, and so much more relaxed since his mother died. It was like a huge burden was released. I so hope he does participate with you guys. That would be a treat!

GHD,

Keep us posted on how it goes this weekend. I am just thrilled for you. Is this weekend with TAPS or the other group?

Thanks Andrew! I'll be with the Paranormal State group from A&E. TAPS will also be there this weekend but with a different group. I figured since was already with TAPS I'll see what PRS has to offer. I do know Eilfie is doing a special segment on historic research and I want to see if I can learn more about that. I'm really going so I can stalk Michelle Belanger....LOL . I'm trying to get my new puter set up ... I got a laptop specifically for the Team and evidence. Must say I'm NOT having fun setting it up...lol.
I'm really excited about this! Oh and Lorraine Warren is gonna be there. She doesn't impress me much but we are going to her museum and I wanna see that! I hope you check out the FB group page cuz I have a ton of pics to upload soon...and then more of course after this weekend! Thanks again!!!

Andrew, Jr. 03-25-2010 11:54 AM

GHD,

I am so excited for you! Trust me, I will be watching and waiting! Give Michelle my best. She is so dear.

Lorraine Warren...I have mixed feelings as you do. Tell me more about the museum once you experience it.

:beatcomputer: = me and computers

GHD,

Oh do share here. Don't forget!

femmy1 03-30-2010 06:38 AM

ewwwwwwwwww

ghosthunting ?? ohhh my !! I went through gettyburgh one time and it was unnerving !! I couldn't drive fast enough. I am learning alot these days about the differences between ghosts and spirits.

I prefer spirits. But I am fascinated with the entire realm... Andrew and GHD-- have either of you heard or read anything by Rosemary Winkowski ?? She is amazing and she doesn't have to look for ghosts...she can see them like she sees you and I. I have been studying her stuff for about a month now. Check her out.

Last summer I went on a ghost hunting tour of the Shantly INN in NY, near Woodstock, but nothing good happened.

f1~

Andrew, Jr. 03-30-2010 10:42 AM

Hi Femmy1,

I have tbi. For some reason the spirit world is attracted to me. For some reason most folks who have tbi or some debilitating injury have this "gift" as well. I have no answer as to why it is. I always think of dolphins and how they have a sense to know when human beings need help, and will protect them against sharks. Even during wartime, the stories of soldiers being protected by dolphin just amazes me.

I agree with you about the difference between spirits and ghosts. Huge difference.

As for Rosemary W. - I have heard the name before, but can't place her.

Gettysburg is very un-nerving. Even driving thru I pick up on so much. It makes my heart pound, and I break out into a sweat. My brother and his partner witnessed everything from ufo's, and were chased there by the ufo's. They talk about it like it happened yesterday, but it happened like 14 years ago.

Andrew, Jr. 03-30-2010 11:21 AM

Femmy1,

I had to go research Rosemary W. She has been on Coast to Coast. She is like the Ghost Whisperer. I know who you are talking about. I haven't read much on her, but I had seen shows on her on A&E and the Discovery Channel. The one thing that stands out in my mind is that the FBI believes everything that comes out of her mouth. Word for word. That is rare.

I like her take on negativity, crossing over, and smuging. All true if you ask me. I use Holy Water vs smudging. It is my belief system.

What do you think of her?

femmy1 03-30-2010 04:22 PM

rosemary

Hi Andrew- yes Rosemary is the real deal ! Law enforcement believes her because she is that factual and accurate. I have been impressed with her work.

I have several clients who have TBI as well and are exceptionally intuitive and empathic as well. I don't know the exact connection, but I see the results :)

Russel Targ is also someone I respect. Hiw work is very interesting, I am learning more about him and his historic work. Is anyone familiar ??

f1~

Andrew, Jr. 03-30-2010 04:55 PM

Russel Targ has wild hair. Like mine when I first wake up in the morning.:lol2:
He is a scientist, teacher, writer. I think he is well known really for his work at Lockheed Martin for his work on lasers. Now Targ is involved with Joe McMoneagle, the world's best remote viewer. McMoneagle is known for his work in Stargate. Amazing work.

Do I believe in this? Yes. Shirley MacLaine once spoke about this, and remote viewing. It was absolutely fascinating.

i've encountered minor things, i work in a Nursing Home and also, a place i once lived in as well, but nothing too drastic. also have had experiences where i can feel someone with me.. won't get into that cuz thats not really what this thread is all about..

ok back on topic, ive never seen (nor heard) of that show, wonder if we get it here, i'll have to check my listings! i really need a good scare, LOL (erm, yeah.... not really, but, for some reason i cant help watching these kinds of shows)

ok, ramble over! *grinz*

sylvie 03-30-2010 06:20 PM

Targ worked setting up remote viewing projects for the CIA, he is legally blind and convinced the government to let him have a motorcycles driver's license for like 20 years... go figure !!

Andrew, Jr. 03-31-2010 03:24 PM

It is the military's gift to Targ for all of his work. The man is brilliant. And his thinking and logic are so simple. He amazes me. :motorbike:

Have you read "Upon a Pale Horse" by William Copper? It is his conspiracy theories. One of the reasons why he was killed.

:alieninjar:

Andrew, Jr. 03-31-2010 07:56 PM

I cannot come here without mentioning Ed & Lorraine Warren. I really want to go to their museum one day. The two items they have relics from that is of interest to me are the raggedy ann doll named Annabell; and second, the relics from Amityville Horror. I also have to give Lorraine credit for rainbow bridge. That alone has given me so much inner peace and joy.

Anyone else? :wateringgarden:

Ghost Huntin' Daddy 04-01-2010 03:14 AM

OK, I'm gonna post a story that I put on my PRIDE Paranormal group page. This happened to me in Gettysburg over the weekend and it really freaked me out!!

Had a VERY disturbing incident happen today at the Bloody Creek. I was just standing with the group and taking pics and listening to the tour guide. It was a beautiful, but cold day and we all had our coats on. Well, I wanted to touch the water...something told me....Jaye don't touch the water.....but Jaye WANTED to touch the water!!! I never got to touch the water because suddenly my body started to burn up....and I mean BURN! I took my jacket off, but I was still really hot and started to sweat. I walked away from the group and sat with some ppl on a big boulder, took my water and had to pour it over the back of my neck...I was still burning up. There was a Reiki master there and she tried to pull whatever it was on me, off. But she couldn't do it. Then for some reason I started to cry uncontrollably! Then in my mind I got the name Andrew and I felt everything he must have felt in the battle. I got a searing pain under my right shoulder that shot burning heat into my body and I saw him surrounded by dead and dying men. He was terrified and confused and kept asking why. I "saw" all this in my mind. I had them get the priest that was there and he anointed me with oil. It left a bit but then came back....so I had to be removed completely from the battlefield. After walking about town I knew he was still with me...so when I got back, Michelle Belanger did some cleansing for me and I felt soooo much better. Now, I just feel sad. It was a horrible experience. Not that he was trying to be harmful, but it was horrible to feel his sadness and pain. I'm thinking this is my first AND last trip to Gettyburg.
Tonite we were going to go to Sach's bridge, but we were told that they found a body today that had been there for what they think is at least 30-60 days. I was advised that since I was hit already once today, that a new death would get me even stronger. It's been a very strange day. I'm exhausted and drained and really need to sleep.

I wrote that on Saturday soon after the incident. If it wasn't for Michelle, I don't think I could have stayed on the trip. I know I'm sensitive, but I never thought I was THAT sensitive!! It really made a huge impression on me! Now, while I was there, I said that it was my first and last trip to Gettysburg, but now that I'm home.....weeeeelllll, I'm thinkin of going back....LOL Yeah, us ghost hunters are a bit nutz! But I have a need to know if I can make contact if I can center, ground, and shield myself from anything like that happening again. And this time I'll listen to my guides when they say NO!
