I thought it would be raining today but not yet! I was able to mow the backyard. I go to it very slow, only in 15 minute segments - don't want to make those little f-uped diskies (discs) worse. I am honestly so tired of babying them but I must say the sciatic thing in my right leg is not as bad right now. I am so thankful.
Anyway, came in a little while ago, peeled off wet clothes, showered and about to take a nap with the pups. :) |
I wished one of my very favorite people ever a very happy birthday, went to the gym, ate, showered, shopped, watched TV and ate lunch, crafted and am still watching some TV and on and off crafting. Dinner's in less than 2 hours and I have Gone in 60 Seconds on in the background while I play online and watch my furries nap near me. I'll continue with the crafting and some organization and that will likely be all for today. I'm keeping it super simple today.

Not sure yet. Thought about riding down to Sumter to the Iris festival. Thought about riding up to Waynesville. Thought about going up to the campground just to see what kind of campers are up there getting ideas.
So far all I've done is feed the fur kids and wash dishes. Yeah I have a dull boring life lol |

I still have work to do and then afterwards, I'm thinking about going to Savers. It's 50% off of everything and mine sometimes has really nice books and magazines that I can use for crafts. I'm not sure though. The sale is on tomorrow too.

I ran into a snag yesterday so I have to rework something and go in a different direction or completely revise my vision and start over. I will also tackle the kitchen. I expect to toss a couple bags of trash and have one or two bags of donateables by the end of the day. I already have a bag to put in recycling so there will likely be one more of that by then too. |

Gemme, a cant hook is a logging tool used to roll logs. It somewhat lessens a need for brute strength in most cases. Also, there are people who call it a peavy. Some of these tools are a combination log roller and log lifter.

Last year Irma went right over this building...all that happened was ripped screens off windows, torn up front awning, & some flooding downstairs. This building is 40 yrs old & has withstood FOUR major hurricanes virtually unscathed. It IS THAT solid! |

I have three meetings today all three are supervision to review supervisees oversight policies and evidence-based practice trainings. Then after work I will review my dissertation notes from my professor, prepare for the class I teach at the college, take a walk, and figure out dinner. Everything after work will include my silky terrier 🐕.

Today I had three meetings then went to the college to review some documentation for the field placements. The students I teach are wonderful. Tonight I am running some errands and taking a walk. All with my silky of course.

Doing some fun for my own stuff crafts, cuddling with Hope, & maybe laundry late this evening when everyone else is asleep in the building..lol.
I have these foil sheets (copper, gold, & silver) that have premade designs that you scratch off to reveal dolphin or turtles or herons. I now have my new glasses so I may tackle one of those. A fun day...well all my days are "fun days". That comes with being retired. |

In theory there was supposed to be lots of reading and writing on my agenda for today, but my body seemed to be inclined towards the option of: "ok, let's spend the Saturday being lazy and sleeping!" Plus, the nice breeze through the window and the moving in the breeze of palm and other trees hasn't been "helping" much!
So, I subdued myself and let the flow of nature lead me with its wisdom and benefits... Ahem, in other words, I have been lazy today! But enough of that....time to work...back to the agenda...kind of (?!) :byebye: |
