Well my dog slept sat on me and slept some more lol
|
Tiny Dog is a very happy dog tonight, as she got to lick the pot that macaroni and cheese was made in.
Diva Kitty is currently snoring on the foot of my bed. |
Loki was certain that I shorted him food this morning and followed me around for a while to make sure that I didn't have any more for him. Gracie has found a new place to hang out. I moved an end table into the hallway and she likes to perch there and greet me as I come out of the bedroom every morning. It's super sweet. It was supposed to be temporary but I think I'll leave it there for her.

Yeah, and who cares what that might look like.......we all know cats rule! http://fullyfeline.com/wp-content/up...cats-rule1.jpg |

This only got typed after Gracie jumped down off of my lap. She's not usually a lap kitty so that was a nice experience. |
I'm hoping Buddy's stopped with the puking! Nothing major ... likely a hairball ... tuna flavored lube purchased! :p
And yes... the sound of a cat about to puke does make an excellent alarm clock! |
Tiny Dog got special treatment _two_days_ in a row; tonight she got to lick the plates clean of juices after steak and potatoes. What a lucky dog!
Diva Kitty spent most of the day hiding in the library. She must have found some interesting dusty old book. |
Today, Simon has been such a pill. Toffee has been herself, trying to herd people around, lol. Petunia was such a good girl. She thought about killing an bird, but changed her mind upon seeing an butterfly. But I've got my eye on Simon. He likes to drag stuff into the house and I'm just not going to let him do that. Toffee is on my side tho, so I'm sure she'll come get me if Simon tries to drag anymore trash home.
All in all, they've been real good. They'll get treats tonight, for sure. |
Gracie has been super sweet lately and asking (and sometimes demanding) for more attention so I see that as a good sign. Loki has been a snuggle bug today. I think he could tell I didn't feel great so he joined me on the sofa for long stretches of time. If I could just make him understand that 12 lbs of cat laying on the top edge of my ribs isn't particularly comfortable, that would have made it better. All in all, they've been really good today with the one exception of Loki trying to sharpen his claws on the furniture.

My grand dog is staying with me while my daughter visits with her friend for.3 weeks. He was previously aggressive with my boxer yoda, but this time he entered the house with Yoda already here and he was a perfect gentleman!
Bitsy even got fresh growling at him and he.was just so.relaxed. I give my daughter credit for.working with him on his behavioral issues. The ride from.NC was.not bad at all. I anticipated bad antics. He's a new, confident dog ♡ |
I don't know if I remembered to post but...
The chickens are mostly grown now.and I'm letting them out to free range in the yard with my supervision. We.have feral cats about and yes, I admit it...I'm a mother hen. I love my chickies. Eleanor the cat has taken to darting outside when the door is open. She was previously too scared to venture out. Now.she.goes frequently against her parents wishes. In doggie news... I have Bitsy back from my mom.since her health precludes her from pet care. I will just keep her from now on. Her other dog, Bella, may go with my brother or uncle when the time comes. My daughter's pit bull, Oliver, who was going to be our dog is again going to be our dog. Her fiance will be traveling for work and they haven't the means to keep him. So.... We are now.a family of 4 dogs 1 or 2 cats depending on the tendencies of Max 8 chickens And that is all fine by me :) |
This morning, Gracie did not want me to finish getting ready for work. She seems to have a knack for wanting attention when I have very little to give. Of course, I loved on her some anyway and she stood on the commode while I brushed my teeth and then she popped up on the counter until I had to get going.
She's so darn cute! |
I pretty much woke up with a real, live kitten eye mask and fat cat foot warmer this morning. I’ve sure missed my little fuzz muffins.
Purr City. :cat: |
He woke me up during a storm. Trotting around the house room to room. Jumping off and onto the recliner. I finally grabbed him and held him tight trying to comfort him until it was over. He was sooo scared hyperventilating shaking and pacing. I see one of those calming vests in his future. He's still shaking and the storm is well past us.
|
Gracie is starting to mess with the shower curtain again. She's already snagged it twice in as many days. Bad girl!
|
This went on all day long.
All three begging to go out. After 15 minutes in this heat and humidity, they would crowd the back patio door wanting to get back inside to air conditioner. And forget the next time they wanted out that it was not a good idea.I think too, they like seeing me cater to their impulsive wishes. Trio furfaces in crime I say! They could not be any more spoiled! I love all three to the moon and back! :) |
The girls (the chickens) figured out how.to.get out of.the coop on their own :|
Needless to say, mama is NOT happy. We remedied the situation (I hope!) but gosh, it could have been very bad |
Well, Gracie is looking adorable, snoozing folded up and upside down on the pillow on her stool and Loki has resettled down back in his bed after making the rounds to the bowls, box and me. Not in that order, thank goodness.
|
Yoda went after one of the chickens yesterday. No harm done BUT mama freaked out a bit
|
Buddy knocked over my coffee all over the leather ottoman. Who wants a cat?!
:p |
Gracie has her crazy eyes on and is looking off into the distance towards the a/c unit. Loki has been chastised many times this morning and has taken himself back to the bedroom to contemplate what he did.
|
One of the little dogs threw up on the bed in the night...
I just put clean.sheets on yesterday..... :| |
I don't know actually. Their toys aren't moved around and they miraculously appear when I come into the house so anything's possible.
Maybe they are part of a G Force type group? |
Well...the baby kitten has apparently learned how to play-growl and bark like a dog from hanging out with my girlfriend’s three pups. She was tearing around the living room and up and down the cat tree at lightning speed all while growling and barking like her “big sisters” (a pittie and Boston terrier) do when they play-fight.
Talk about cute! Her big brother was unamused at the shenanigans, but they are now curled up into one big ball of fur and snoozing soundly together. |
Not today... but this past weekend... one of my fuzzy lil buggers pushed my salad spinner and butter boat of the counter and broke them!! ARG!!! :fastdraq:
Yes, I own... owned... a butter boat! :p https://cdn3.volusion.com/frqdc.tnvc...9607080A-4.jpg |

I just looked over and Gracie was laying on the ground on her back with her paws all akimbo and a sweet, playful look on her face. Loki is nearby on the back of the sofa, looking down upon the beloved, but mere, mortal that I am.
|
Yesterday...
Our hen, Dolly, laid her first egg! I happened to be outside hanging wash and heard her make a peculiar call. I saw her come out of the coop and figured I’d check and... sure enough! First Dolly egg. Cleo laid her third egg yesterday also. Her first one was laid on pavement and cracked. The second had no shell so I offered more oyster shells. Her third one was perfection and actually laid in the laying box. Yay Cleo! |
It's been a few weeks since I have seen Simon, Toffee and Petunia, so when I dropped by to see my BFF (sil), Petunia usually is out in the front yard, waiting for me to pet her and talk to her.... but she was up on the cedar fence, staring at me, with her tail swishing in the air. LOL!
After I walked up to the front door, carrying the lunch sack, I usually hear both dogs going ape, but today, miracles of miracles, both dogs were.... sitting behind the front door, tails wagging crazily, not one big scary bark out of either of them, and they didn't even try to push me down with love. HA! Luckily, I had treats in my purse. :jester: I loved up Simon and Toffee and gave them treats; then Petunia came up to the back door, to be let in. I let her in....and she talked up a storm. I picked her up and gave her the biggest smooch on top of her head, then put her down and gave her the biggest treat she's ever enjoyed (it had cat nip in it). Today was such a huge surprise to not be mowed over by both dogs, lol! I think they love me, just as much as I love both Simon and Toffee. Petunia, too. *maow* :stillheart: |
Our pit bull Oliver has FINALLY discovered an indestructible toy! My free weights!!!
I’ve had mine forever and I’m not sharing with his slobbery self BUT I will buy him his own! |
Loki has been cuddly and lovey dovey today. Gracie has been quiet and napped most of the day. When I stay up late, I see why. Gracie kicks Loki's ass during the night. Like, MMA ass kicking. That's my girl.
|
My daughter has a cat now.... sort of between kitten and cat. Anyway the top of her bedroom door has a space in it so I can see the ceiling through it if it’s closed. She has a very high bookshelf a little ways behind it. (And very high ceiling) Well I’m walking by and see some black thing sticking up all the way to the ceiling and I’m like wtf? I stopped. I stared. The house was super quiet and the black thing was super still. After standing there frozen for a few trying to figure out Wth was going on I moved to a diff angle and saw the cat ears. Then adjusted again and saw she was just sitting there watching me through the crack in the door. On the ceiling. Yup no big deal.
I know cats climb any and everything but I’m not used to them so still adjusting to the crazy little maniac lol. |
Monte woke me up to let me know – Hey you, over there, I'm barfing!!!!!!!!! Now he wants an early breakfast. Immediately? No I don't think so.
|
They ran around like rockets after inhaling their breakfast. Basically, the usual.
|
Peanut, the bantam house chicken, has found a back closet in the house to nest in. She is currently sitting on 8 eggs. Every morning she runs into the big living room and grabs a meal and a drink of water. It took us a while to find that nest but the secret is out now. We may or may not have feathered Christmas presents. :|

I loved reading you post about your chicken! Funny as all! :)

It has rained all morning but it is tapering off now around noon.
Kevie, Jennifer and Jeffrey have been in and out all morning. They beg to go out, I tell them it is still raining but let them out anyway. I stand and wait between one and two minutes at the back door... they come rushing back to the covered patio, shake, then come back in ... all three stare at me with accusing, pouty faces like the rain is my fault. "Daddy made it rain!" whatever ... I feel certain they will get a few hours of dry playtime this afternoon. |
its been raining here all day, so they have been laying on their heating pads chewing on their chewsticks.
|
Raining like crazy here too. Tiny Dog has made one quick trip outside. Every other time I offered to let her out, she looked at me like, "Nope! I can hold it!"
|
The cats have been relaxing in front of the heater in the garage; the one cat loves it and will sit in front of it for hours (they're outside cats btw).
The dogs barked at...something all day, no idea what they see or smell, but when I went outside to see them, my one dog seems to have learned to try and get sympathy by shivering, seeing if she'll be let in. It was -2C today, it wasn't that cold. They also have a heated garage to go in. |
