I count my blessings and joy every day, but this morning I
was so deeply appreciative of Ms. Boots. After a little prodding, I unloaded a pile of frustrations (work and family), she didn't buy into my stress or bs and she was so supportive and sweet with her messages today. I am the MOST loved butch in the world. Feeling her presence is a source of great joy. |

They got back to me THAT quick!!! WOW!!! And it's for a State job too.... usually you NEVER hear back that quick! |
That I'm six feet above ground (and not under!) and for the endless hours of entertainment that beautiful birds, squirrels and kitties (who hunt with JOY) give me - right outside my kitchen window!

I am in tears...
for the first time in over a year and a half, my ancient newfoundland dog ate out of a bowl instead of out of my hand. She has dementia so twice a day, every day I have either been offering her wet food by my hand or on a spoon...she just could not remember how to eat out of a bowl. She even lost the ability to eat from my hand and spoon also a few times and each time I thought I was going to have to put her down because I would not starve her to death...and yet, something made her synapses spark back up and she would start to eat out of my hand or spoon. but today, out of nowhere, she dipped her nose into the can and licked it...my eyes got huge..so I went and got a bowl, put chunks of wet food in it and laid it in front of her..and coaxed her..it took her a few times..but she ate the whole can that way in the bowl.... good god...I never thought I would see her do that again... it might not stay, this might be a fluke, it doesnt matter..what matters is that today, she ate from a Big Dog bowl! |

My brother just told me that the week after I move South, he will bring the girls to see me!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT to see my beautiful nieces and to spoil them rotten!!
So it turns out.... that the place I picked to move to, my brother and his family vacation near by EVERY year. Maybe we can make up for lost time and get together for some much needed/missed family time?? I'm so excited! I am so amazed at how things have been working out and so many good things are happening and falling into place!! I LOVE my baby girls and don't want to miss them growing up just because I live too far away. This is SO AWESOME!!! Don't think I've been this HAPPY ever before! It's an amazing feeling to have so many positive things happen suddenly and to enjoy so many amazing, caring, wonderful people in my life!! PS... just heard from him again.... he's going to treat me to a trip to Myrtle Beach with the girls!!! I've only been to two beaches - Ocean City in December for a Christmas Party and Virginia Beach for my son's graduation.... I've ALWAYS loved beaches but never really got to go. I prefer off season, but I CAN'T wait to take my girls to the boardwalk and enjoy their laughter and pulling me two different ways with sticky cotton candy little hands...and to hear the youngest one say "You're Da Bomb!!" Damn!! LIFE IS GOOD!!! |

Our usual Saturday. Leisurely getting up, going to a meeting, going to get a coffee, hitting garage sale or two, various errands, later a nap, just spending time together. Saturdays are nice.

Listening to some REALLY good live music in the park. A friend of mine was singing and playing his guitar to a small audience...Damn, what a voice!

Spending 5 hours in the woods today, watching birds and other wildlife. It's like heaven to me.

Birding by the Bay, enjoying the quiet. Love having a dog that will be still and quiet while I gaze in amazement.
Reading some posts by other butches and TG members that open communication between we butch types and feeling like barriers are being torn down between us all. Worth the wait and even the really hard times when I felt we would never get here. |
Takin my motortcycle out for a 4 hour ride, ahhhhhh.......and knowing I'll be doing it again tomorrow :)

While walking through my small Neighborhood, glancing at Mid-may gardening taking place in each House to get an Idea of what I might wanna do, and what's Allowed..
I saw a yellow Tiger swallowtail butterfly, paused to watch where it was going, it kept circling the puddle by my feet, then wider circles, and occasionally went around me a few times... I stayed perfectly still, didn't wanna Spook it, it went to a few plants, came back...flew across the street did a wide turn, came back, and I kept walkin', smile plastered ear to ear following it briefly, until I couldnt see it anymore... When a Reached the other end of my neighborhood, I saw it again, unless it was another one of the same color... Someone told me to use corn starch on my lawn to kill the crab grass and dandilions. It would be much cheaper than buying Scott's products. Who knew? Wow. :cowboy: |
