Mr Nice Guy 04-20-2012 05:20 PM

Still single and sometimes wishing I was in my twenties again.

Beloved 04-20-2012 05:24 PM

I like to bake cookies, cupcakes, cakes, brownies, etc. My baking is mostly vegan. Where in Jersey are you, Hunter Green? I am a Jersey girl living out of state but planning on moving back.

* still single and eating meatloaf.

Doubting it serious today, but then again, you might be right.

40, butch, sane, independent, sense of humor, and a brain. I have a lot of different interests, know what I'm looking for, and I think I'm a decent person worth getting to know. While I'd like to find someone within my general area, not sure that's going to happen. I don't exactly like the idea of an LDR, but you never know.

SweetJane 04-21-2012 01:02 PM

Waving at all the singles. Good luck in your search.

Hi everyone! Spent a quiet day at home today...took the day off to celebrate my bday. Got caught up on some paperwork that who knows WHY I held on to! Most of it hit the trash! Now I have different places to "stash"...ha..ha! Watched a cool movie called "One Fall" - good watch and just chilled!

Had dinner w/my parent's and son. Talking about our summer vacation in Maine - I [U]can't[U] wait! One day off has me salivating for a week and a half! Wish I could take all my 3 weeks at one time. Can't tell I'm getting "older" can ya?

Hope it wasn't a bad Monday for all!

Mr Nice Guy 04-23-2012 07:37 PM

Hey Sarah, when are you coming to Maine? I live in NH. There are a couple of New Englanders around. Would be cool to meet.

Beloved 04-24-2012 05:15 AM

New England should have a meet up! Anyone can come who doesn't mind traveling, but we should have one.

It looks like sometime in August. My parent's have a cottage in Fryeburg on Lovewell pond. Where in NH do you live?

Mr Nice Guy 04-25-2012 03:46 PM

I'm in Manchester. We did a get together about 7 years ago. But it sounds like fun. :)

Leigh 04-25-2012 05:02 PM

Just came in to say hi to all of my friends :)

That's only about 2 hours south of me. We used to fly into Manchester, and then my parent's would pick us up and we would drive up. But my son and I now go to Portland, rent a small suv, and drive over to the cottage.

turns out the pain in my hand is partially, a nerve problem in my elbow. Dr wants to take care of the elbow and see what happens to the wrist. MRI didn't show anything in the wrist. Most likely a small tear they can't see. If it doesn't calm down, they may go in and "do some scraping" ouch! will schedule surgery for elbow soon. Still have neck dr to see. For now, had cortizone shots today. Almost passed out from the second one on my wrist. dr said the med affected my diabetes.

Sister and her wife have been visiting from Alaska. Neighbors rotty jumped the fence and bit my sisterinlaw. Had to report it. Police had to come out. Now they are claiming we are harrassing them... uhhh really?? Police don't believe him. Rotty was not registered so he is being slapped with a fine. Has to provide proof of up to date shots. They will not put in a new fence (of course he told the cop he would) bc he is out of work (always out of work) and can't afford it. REALLY??? and we can?? Have to do it in order to keep my 72 year old mother and my little Bella safe. Thanks God for a home depot credit card and a family friend who will let us pay him on time for the labor and not charge us much as it is.

That's cool. I've lived here for over ten years and plan on moving back to Mass.

Leigh 05-07-2012 07:56 AM

Still single, figured I'd come in and say hello to everyone :)

Zimmeh 05-07-2012 11:49 AM

If I am "dating" someone I want to get to know them to see how compatible we are together, what we have in common, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude. I'm not opposed to sleeping with someone right away if that is what has been mutually decided, but if you want to get to know me don't jump me as soon as you get me alone. That's not dating in my books.

I sent her on her way the first night telling her I wanted to get to know her and see where things might go and the very next day she jumped me again so I figured what the F* and decided to go for it.

Yes, it made for a fun afternoon, but now in my mind she has been relegated to F* Buddy as opposed to someone to get to know.

Am I alone in this thinking? Is this the norm now a days, it's been a while since I have "dated".

i had something similar happen recently, but i told her to kick rocks instead! :p (i felt like my boundaries weren't being respected) and i agree... there's nothing wrong with getting physical right away, if it's mutually agreed upon.

dating is rough sometimes. smh
